The beginnig of science

The beginning of man's interest of surrounded him world is dated on prehistorical time. People who lived on that times were making plates of bone on which were painting symbols Moon phase. That plate was found in France and it is dated on 32 thousand yeras old. They then made a construction subordinated astronomy Stonehenge in England. Times to Middle Ages are recognized of prescientific epoch. People tried control nature strength with magic.
The important moment in history of knowledge was invention of writing. It made possible consolidation and storing knowledge. People started make lists of towns, kind of plants, animals, mountains or rivers. In Mezopotamia was invented record of any number with help of limited quantity of digits. People could count areas of figures or measure angles.
In ancient Egypt progressed astronomy and mathematician. People could make four basic operations - operations on fractions, simple problems related with geometry. I'm wondering weren't they smarter than me. Egyptians could measure time. Theh made solar watch and probably water watch. Progressed geographic knowledge of which sign is Egyptian map of Nubia. In Egypt was also medicine on high.
Generally science had a small influance on society, because people didn't write down any theory, statement or formula. People rather wrote important on that times things. More exactly Priests took care science. Sometimes was that also rulers, but as marginal occupation.

Can life exist on Mars?

Mars has already from centuries interested people of all cultures because of its colour - red and seemingaly fast movement on the sky.
Scientists say, Mars is too salt to life could exist there. From a analysis of Red Planet's rock fragments, which was washed by water it ensues, that Mars was unusual rich of minerals.
The scientists think that stage of salinity would make impossible rise of life. In their opinion even the most immune bacteriums couldn't survive in that medium. For few latest months stones from Martian plain was exactly explore by American scientists from NASA. From those explorations it ensues, that before few thousands years there was water. Results of today explorations say about that, there couldn't be life even if there was that necessary thing to live - water.

"Kate and Leopold"

Kate (Meg Ryan) is a buisnesswoman, who cares only about her career. She's always busy and very sceptic. She lives in New York so her life's really hard.
Leopld (Hugh Jackman) is a really elegant and charming prince, who has to marry a rich woman to protect a family's fortune. Ekhm. Oh! I forgot! He also lives in New York but in about 1890. As a result of an accident he got to XXI century and feels completly lost there.
Of course they met each other and Kate couldn't belive that he was from old ages. She just thought that Leopold was a little crazy. But the time passed and she strted to wonder weather is was the truth what he said.
Kate and Leopld spent tohether all beautiful weekend. They became acquainted and he shows her that life can be funny, great, slowlerand wonderful. Also she feels better and happier than ever after.
Unfortunately he had to come back to his ages, but Kate's friend told her that she had to come back too, bacause he saw her on the picture, which one he took in Leopold's ages.
I think this is the best movie for girls who dreams about the prince on the white hotrse. Acctualy, for sure, everyone of us have dreams like that, hmmm.

"Enchanted"

Once up on a time there was a pretty girl- Giselle. she was dreaming about lovely prince (on white horse) and true love kiss. And of course she met a real prince. They both fell in love with each other. But the bad queen didn't want her son to married any girl. So she sent Giselle to the place where nothing ends happily. To New York.
She felt very lost and confused but suddenly sombody helped her, a kind Robert. That's how a real love story started. She showed him the power of love and he told Giselle about the dates.
They were meeting each other (acctually Robert was finding place, which Giselle was from) when the charming prince was looking for her, and he found Giselle. Unfortunately she didn't love him anymore. Then the bad queen came and transformed into dragon. Giselle's lover had to fight whit it, but in the end, she rescued him;)
This is a very kind and sweet movie about powerful thing in the world- true love kiss. And of course beautiful music.

"Serendipity"

There was almost Christmas. Sara and Johnathan were doing some christmas shopping and they met acccidentally in a shopping center. They both wanted to buy the same pair of gloves. Finally each one of them took the one of this pair. That's how everything started.
They went to a cafe together and they liked each other in a minute. But there was a little problem. Sara didn't want to give Johnathan her number or even the name. She deeply belived in destiny and she thought that if they are meant to be together, the fate wil put her throug to him.
Few years later they suddenly started to thnik about each other even though they had their own lives. Both of them were engaged and they were acctually about to get married. But the fate didn't want to leave them alone. Sara and Johnathan wanted to make everything clear. So Sara went to USA and Johnathan went to England to find each other. Funny. How they wanted to find themselves if they were in absolutely diffrent countries?
Finnaly they met each other in the Central Park at the ice rink and of course everything ended happily. They said that they were in love and there was a big kiss at the end. Well, maybe detiny played there its own role.

Cardinal Sin

Heeeeellllllllooooooooo for the first time in many, many days. I sincerely apologize for the impromptu hiatus...But I've been swamped with stuff to do. But it's good to be back. Thanks to the faithful support, readers. You guys keep me going. Keep the love comin'! And check out all the songs on my music player...I hope to be a great source for both music and fashion in the coming months (:

I wanted to talk about the Cory Kennedy + Ksubi + Cobrasnake shirt.

I absolutely adore Cory and her style, know many people that know her and even hang out in the same places and with the same people she did before she became an internet star. However, I'd like to ask Miss Kennedy, what is this outrage? A t shirt with a picture of her and Paris Hilton for $100+ ?? I understand that these are limited edition and are a pretty big deal (seeing as they involve three of the most respected figures in culture), but I think they're a bit pricey. Cory isn't yet an internationally famous designer, nor are the regular Cobrasnake shirts this expensive. The shirt itself ain't all that bad, but I think future collabs like this should carry a smaller price tag.

PARIS FASHION WEEK
******************************
It's that time of the year again...The fashion giants come out to play and they're here to show off their best. Here are some highlights:

Bruno Pieters

Bruno Pieters wowed the crowd with slim, menswear looks, working the runway with some tidy and classy pieces. Monochrome never looked better.

Devastee

Playful, charming, yet elegantly sophisticated, Devastee's pieces are all a girl could want in her closet. Eerie illustrations and quirky colors complete this collection and brand it with an A+.

BLESS NÂș 34

Bless No 34 excited the audience with their futuristic and chic looks, which looked disheveled and pulled-together at the same time. Complete with a warehouse location filled with sports cars and bikes, this show was one to remember.

A.F. Vandevorst

This collection was titled "Angels with Dirty Faces", which conjures for me a contradictory image. The husband-and-wife designer duo put the models in some lovely clothing, smeared their faces with ink, and pushed them out on to the catwalk. The result? Something quite impressive.

Gaspard Yurkievich

Just take a look at those vibrant patterns...Who can resist? With the theme of Paris in the 70's and its muses during that time, Yurkievich certainly does a wonderful job in evoking the extravagant, chic look that was iconic during that decade.

Isabel Marant

Isabel Marant is always a favorite of mine for carefully crafted pieces that add a dash of spunk to every outfit. This collection is full of pieces that are no different, as Marant goes mad for plaid. Which reminds me, if you're interested in scoring some Isabel Marant from past seasons on sale, visit www.creaturesofcomfort.us.

The show goes on!

G'day people!

Alot has happened since my last post in Adelaide. We didnt end up leaving adelaide until really late that day because we had to get some new things for the bikes, and some other bits and pieces. So we only made it to Port Wakefield, and plus in the arvo we found a ripped little pub in a town called Lower Light. So we only had a shortish day before wanting to head to bed.
The next day we made up for it with a massive 210 km ride to Port Augusta. we survived the ride ok that night, but unfortunately the next day my right knee wasnt too happy.

About 60kms into the trip my leg was really hurting. IT was time to make some sort of change to the schedule because I just couldnt keep pushing it the way I was. So we pulled up in a town called Iron Knob, about 75kms from Pt Augusta. The place is a bit of a Ghost town and being a sunday night not much was going on.

One of the locals told us to go knock on the pub door because the owners live there and they could sort us out with some where to stay, and some drinks etc.

So we went onto the property and walked around for a while till we eventually found a back door to the pub. A lady answered the door and we told her what the local bloke. They ended up letting us stay on the property, and opened up a room with a shower, toilet, kitchen, power etc so that we had everything we needed. Absolute legends! I even got some ice and iced up my knee while some Rice was cookin for dinner

We got a good sleep that night and decided that we should have a rest day, and another good sleep that night. Around lunch time we went and had a look inside the pub. Its a massive place that was an old school converted into a pub. The people who run the place Brian and Michelle were keen as for a chat, and eventually with a few drinks in us all we had a bit of a party going. Not many people came to the pub for the night apart from an old couple, Bill who was good at darts, and I forget his wife's name, but she gave me some sort of cream for my leg, that is actually a cream that gets rubbed into Horse's muscles. But it seemed to work. There was also another character there called Gaz who played guitar, and all he wanted to do was play House of the rising sun. And then there was another bloke called "Caveman." He was an interesting fellow who had lost use of one side of his body. We had a ripped of a night. Harv and I hopped into a couple of big steaks, and an extra two plates of chips, which we know is too much, but at the time seemed like a good idea.

The next day we head off to Kimba. Leaving Iron knob we tried to find something to eat for breakfast, only to find out that it was really a ghost town. Nothing was open, and there was nowhere to get food. So we dropped in at the bowls club that just happened to be open. A bloke there called Graham hooked us up with a tin of spaghetti for the trip, and also gave us an IRon knob bowls club baadge for the memories. Thanks mate!

Off to Kimba. There are more hills around these parts than you would think. It wasnt that long a day but it seemed it because we could only average a speed of around 15kms an hour. When we got to Kimba we headed to a little rest stop called Apex park and spent the night. An awesome rest stop that I highly recomend. An old bloke called Rob looks after the bpark and I reckon he'd be keen for a good yarn if you hed there. As is everyone else in town, we found it hard to finally eat breakfast the next morning beacuse everyone just wants to have a chat.
After an egg and bacon fest we hit the road.

More undulating hills to Wudinna. On the road Brian from Iron Knob past us in his ute. HE was heading to Wudinna but said he wouldnt be there long cause he had to get back home, or hed be in trouble. Through out the day I got my first slow leaking tire so had to change it over, and I also discovered that I now had a broken spoke also. So we sorted out a few things, and got to Wudinna around 7pm. Pulled into the pub, and there was Brian. We were joking all day about how we knew he would be there for ages drinking, and how much trouble hed be in when he got home.

At the Wudinna pub it was $10 roast night, but the girl at the counter offered us a roast for $7 because they were packing up. and let me tell you, it was the most massive roast I have ever seen. I dont think I will ever get better value than that. We slept in the tents again last night, and now we're off for some breaky. We've decided to start riding in the day early so that we dont get the afternoon sun, and then we can do a bit more when we turn up in town.

I'm still feeling the inflamation in my knee but I guess all I can do is ice it, use gels etc, and just not push it to hard.

The show goes on!
This is supposed to be a fun post.
then again,
Maybe not.
Cos something/someone just pissed me off.

Anyway, watched L Changed The World, today.

the show's quite nice actually.

but its kind of sad.

Gelare ystr, Gelare today.

But i still prefer anderson's.

Bought my Nike Dunks today.

& on the way home in the bus,

there was a rather comical coversation going on between this guy&girl.

&the other two guys agree that it was a total comedy.

Terminal Choice

En 2006 sale “New Born Enemies”, MCD “Dont go”, CD LTD “New Born Enemies”.

Is my baby a genius?

Hundreds of doctors (educators and psychiatrists) of whole Poland say that day by day more parents come to them with their own kids, because they want to know if their baby is a genius or how to make the babies brilliant. Piotr BocheƄski, the psychiatrist, thinks that it's happening like this because parents don't want to overlook the potential talent of their kids. IQ tests are getting more popular, so we can control our babies' developement already. On the Internet, there are a lot of opinions confirming doctor's observations.
  • "My daughter is 3 years old. She can count to 15, she speaks Polish very well and she knows the four words in Russian. How can I check if she is brilliant?"
  • "My child, since he was born, is smart and shrewd. He can listen carefuly. He's 1,5 years old and he knows the whole alphabet. He likes reading shop's billboards. Is he a genius?"
That's how parents write about their children. In the private places there are special classes, where they can learn how to work with kids. How the doctors check if the children are brilliant? For oldre of them there are some tests, but when the child is younger the educators observes how the kid is behaving and what it can do (for example how it throws things). After the observations the doctor can say what excercises the kid should do to develop its skills.
Some parents are absolutely crazy about it. "I went with my 6-years-old son to the educator because he's smarter than the other children in his age. The doctor said that I just should leave him alone and let him grow, but I won't leave it like this! My son goes to a swimming pool. I think that I'll put him to musical school or Maths class too." - says Katarzyna from Warsaw.

Second part of Pyrrhic War

Most important places in Pyrrhic War
After the losing battle of Asculum in 279 BC where King Pyrrhus of Epirus lost 3,500 soldiers ,including many of his officers, state army King of Epirus was very bad. At first, his army was really tired and lost 3,500 soldiers what was on the foreign territory non-renewable. The last battle in this war was the battle of Beneventum(today Benevento in Campania-Italy).The Roman forces which after lost battle rebuild and had apparently 40000 soldiers that is to say two army of the consul led by Manius Curius Dentatus met near Benevento weak army Pyrrhus of Epirus which had apparently 20000 infantry,3000 cavalry and 18 war elephants. Although the Roman Republic army still scared war elephants it all strike two army of consuls refused very weak army King of Epirus but apparently in this moment like from tree slumped 3000 cavalry from the army of Pyrrhus and immediately destroyed big part of the Roman republic army, but Roman army in this battle fought Roman legions which showed more superiority over Macedonian phalanx because counter-attack of Roman army was decisive, was destroyed apparently half of army Pyrrhus of Epirus. Result these battle is very difficult to define because it wasn’t neither victory of Roman legion(because they was retread to Rome) nor Epirus’s army which lost several thousand soldiers and have to retread too to Greece. After the reconstruction, Roman republic army engage Tarento in 272 BC and that was finish of Pyrrhic War.

Here's your dedication, Bfriend :

I Love You, Bfriend.
I care for you, Bfriend.
I miss you too, Bfriend.
&of course,
Thank you for everything,
Bfriend(:(:(:
now, u owe me 4.(:
okay, i wrote Bfriend, as you wished.

didn't go for fellowship today.
The truth, I just didn't feel like going.
ate dinner with Jessalyn&cabbed back home.

reminiscing,
i realized that many things have changed.
so many changes taking place.
Maybe too many at once.
or maybe its just me.
perhaps, i should change my expectations&perspective.
the last time i felt like this, was like yesteryear.
long long time ago.
hmm,
change is the only constant in life.
that should very well make me think a little more.

i think there's only one thing,
that'll be able to turn my everything around.
but it'll take a long while before it happens.
actually, i'm not even sure about that.

i'm not in a very good mood.
&i don't know why too.
let's just say, i'm getting short-tempered.
maybe cos i'm too free,
to like get pissed over small, unnecessary stuff.
in which after a while,
i would realise that it wasnt that pissing afterall.
damn it.
i should just go buy a communicable robot or smth,
so that it'll give me all the attention i want.
Afterall,
i'm not the "one person" kind of person,
and that's not related to independency.
My problem just lies in the part,
whereby, i can ,
but i don't like to do things alone.
its a matter of whether want to or not.
but as far as i know, i don't want to,
cos that feeling sucks big time.
That's bad, i know.
damn it la.
i need to shift my focus,
and do more,
rountine-ated stuff in life.
whatever luh.
i'm suddenly being negative about stuff.
DAMN.
i want to say that word, very much.
but im not gonna do so.
So i'll just end with.

1 week in, feeling the pain...

Hey all
Sorry its been so long in between posts. So far we've made it to adelaide, and today we head off towards Port Augusts before hitting the Nularbor to WA.
In all honesty the schedule that Harv and I put together has proved very intense. The kms we cycle daily to reach
the next town is highly physicaly demanding, and its an even greater effort with the sleep deprevation we have experienced so far. But we're not broken yet!!
All the gigs so far have been really great, and I thank everyone who came deeply, sorry if I was a bit of a zombie though.
Besides all of the intensity, cycling around the country is great. We have seen some amazing places, and you really get time to take in the scenery. We've met some amazing people, and eaten a shit load of good food!!
On our way from Millicent to K
ingston in SA, we decided we would take the highway instead of taking the coast road. Only to realise later that there was no way to get water for the next 100kms half way into the trip. So we decided to turn off to Robe. Half way to Robe we were both feeliing realy sick and dehydrated to the point where we were getting really worried. So we found a property, jumped
a fence and filled our bottles. But the water was discusting. So we kept going and eventually fo
und a CFA and sat for about 40 mins drinking water and snacking on lollies. That sorted us out, but when we reached Robe, we were pulling into town and Harvs leg went on him. He droped off the bike and could hardly move. Eventually he got up a
nd we decided to stay the night and give it a rest. So off to the bottle shop for a few bevo's and a jam on the beach for the arvo. Seemed to be one of the best afternoons so far. Although we lost 75kms that day because we had to stop.
We decided to try and get to Ad
elaide a day earlier so that we could have a rest day and get a good sleep, recover a  bit etc. But what a mission that proved to be.
With a 200km day ahead of
us we set off from Salt Creek for a long night. 150kms into the trip we were both tired and really over the whole thing, only to realise that we now had to tackle the Adelaide hills. It was 1 am, and now my knee was playing up, I was struggling to cycle with my right leg, and only really putting in any effort with my left. But we had to keep going.
We spent the next 3 hours
cycling what felt like a 20km climb around the hills, stoping here and there laughing at each other, stating our stupidity, and screaming about how crazy this bike tour idea is, but we were laughing and we kept going. Eventually we reach the top of the hill in Stirling. we had to get from
Stirling to Adelaide city, but weren't aloud to ride on the freeway.
Being 3 am, and really tired
from 11 hours on the bike, I decided I would risk it, and take a fine from the cops if it meant getting to bed earlier.
So we took the highway, and how cool it was. From Stirling to Adelaide city the highway runs downhill the whole way for
about 12kms. The most amazing downhill Ive eever riden. It did get really cold though, we were totally wet from sweating it out on the hill climb, and now we were rushing downhill in the wind, and felt freezing.
So we rocked up in Adelaide, both tired and in really shit moods. It was now 4 am, and any accomodation we tried to get was either not open, or all booked out because of some car race in Adelaide. for some reason we resorted to McDonalds for a burger, and never again. We felt sick and started talking to a security guard. He was a good bloke and wanted to help us out. He got talking to the local police who were in Drive through Macca's pursuit, and they said we could go and camp on a footy oval just next to the city.
Off we went extremely excited about sleep. We reached the footy oval and set up our tents. After unpacking things the sprinklers decided to fire up and give us a good old squirt. Really funny now, but not at the time, trust me.
After 3 hours sleep we woke up and searched around for some accom but no luck. So we went to the Grace Emily and ended up crashing there. Which we should have done in the first place, but never mind.
Yesterday we both had a remedial massage to give the legs a bit of recovery, and we also had Physio Consultations to suss out our leg issues. I've worked my legs a bit to hard, and basicaly I have some inflammation from overuse. Harv has some issues with his left ITB, and is also suffering a bit of inflammation. Hrmmm...

Its now time for food, and we still have 150kms to cycle today, so I better get crackin.
We'll let you know how it all goes sometime soon.
Cheers
Rob and Harv!!

TUMOR

Another team in Euroepean the 'final four'

On Tuesday there was a match between Asecco Resovia Rzeszów and Ortec Rotterdam in Challange Cup. The teams were fighting for the 'final four' of this tournament. First match, which was playedin Holland, won Ortec with the score 3:0. So Resovia had to win this match, if they wanted to be in teh 'final four'. And they did it. Actualy it was an easy and quick winning (25:16, 25:20, 25:16). Asecco's players were absolutely amazing in their game. They had hard and difficult serves which caused a lot of problems to Ortec. Another great thing of Resovia was their defense. Krzysiek Ignaczak did an amazing job on Tuesday. I really don's understand why Skra didn't want him to play in BeƂchatów this year. I think that they were really wrong. Anyway, IgƂa was incredible. He was 'everywhere' and took every ball from Ortec's players' attacks. Thanks to him, Resovia could do contra-attacks and receive next points. The block was working great too. Young Holland player, Kooy, who is pretty good, on Tuesday couldn't make lot of effective attacks because Resovia's block didn't allowe him to do this.
After this winning the teams had to play the 'gold set'. Tis is something like tie break (so only to 15 points) and the teams must play it in Challange Cup if both of them wone one match and they have to settle which of them will promote to the next level. This set was very nervous for me (and I think for other fans too) and of course for the players. Resovia had 3 points more than Ortec (12:9), but Holland players won next 3 points and it was 12:12. It wasn't the end of emotions. Resovia finally won the 5th match point! The gold set ended with the score 18:16. Now, we had second team in the 'final four' of European cups. Polish League's getting better.

Black Devil - Disco Club

ok, so i was sitting in my studio thinking about what i
should blog about first and then it hit me:

Black Devil

i heard about these guys a few months back and was told
that their album Disco Club was released in 1978 and that they were
way ahead of their time. ahead of their time doesnt even begin
to define these guys.

here's some info straight from their current (fan run) myspace:
An on-off collaboration between French producers Bernard Fevre and Jackie Giordano -- who credited themselves, respectively, as Joachim Sherylee and Junior Claristidge -- Black Devil released a six-track album of spooky electro-disco entitled Disco Club. Originally released on Italy's Out label in 1978, it became slightly infamous in the disco underground despite its scarcity. A copy eventually fell into the hands of the Rephlex label's PP Roy and soon won the hearts of Richard James and Luke Vibert. Rather than do a straight reissue, Rephlex opted to first release a 12" including four tracks from the original vinyl; after that, they annoyingly trickled out the two other tracks, along with a couple outtakes and a remix from Luke Vibert (under his Kerrier District guise), via 12" and CD single releases that featured different track lists."
like it says, these killer disco tracks are packed with leery echoing vocals
and outstanding synthesizer leads and really catchy shuffle style drums.

one thing i really enjoyed about these tracks is the crackling from the
original vinyl recordings.

IN THE LAND OF WOMEN

After reading the title you could think that it is a typical romance for women. Nothing more wrong. I think that this movie can be for men too and that maybe when they will see it, whey will unterstand women much better.
The story is about a young man, Carter (Adam Brody), who is very upset because of the parting with his (ex)girlfriend. He thinks that he canould feel better when he goes to small city and takes carle of his ill grandma there. So he leaves L.A. and he goes to Detroid to find some quiet and calmness. Opposite Phillis (Carter’s grandmother) there live a family. It seems that they’re an absolutely ordinary family. Marriage with two daughters – nothing unusual. But their life isn’t so simple. Sarah (Meg Ryan), the mother of the two girls, has got a breast cancer. Her husband got an afair and the older daughter can’t speak out with Sarah. And suddenly Carter appears in this hard moment in their lives. These people help one another in normal conversations and being close to each other in tis difficult time.

The movie has got an incredible massage for all of us and it was made very well. It’s got a warm and understanding climate too. There is a great Meg Ryan’s and Adam Brody’s roles in the film. I really think that nobody could play tis characters as well as they. Anyway, thie movie is absolutely worth watching.

EDIT: [&I've locked my blog.

--------------------------
this suits well.

I will not make the same mistakes that you did
I will not let myself Cause my heart so much misery
I will not break the way you did,
You fell so hard
I've learned the hard way
To never let it get that far

Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side
so I don't get hurt
Because of you I find it hard to trust not only me,
but everyone around me
Because of you I am afraid

I lose my way
And it's not too long before you point it out
I cannot cry
Because I know that's weakness in your eyes
I'm forced to fake A smile,
a laugh everyday of my life
My heart can't possibly break
When it wasn't even whole to start with

I watched you die
I heard you cry every night in your sleep
I was so young
You should have known better than to lean on me
You never thought of anyone else
You just saw your pain
And now I cry in the middle of the night
For that same damn thing

Because of you I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you I learned to play on the safe side
so I don't get hurt
Because of you
I try my hardest just to forget everything
Because of you
I don't know how to let anyone else in
Because of you
I'm ashamed of my life because it's empty
Because of you I am
afraid

Because of you
Because of you
