The Witcher is a role playing game based on books of Andrew Sapkowski. History in game takes place after the happenings in books. Title hero, Geralt from Rivia is a monster slayer; people pay him for killing any kind of monsters. His profession is unique, and disliked among some people.
The game starts with the attack of bandits on castle Kaer Morhen, witchers headquarters. Due to this attack they’re mutagens are stolen by dangerous magician for his experiments. From now on, Geralt have to find as much as he can about the organization called “Salamanders”, and the magician. Geralt can use many fighting styles, and his signs (he performs a gesture and magic is released, in game there are signs of Aard, Quen, Axii, Yrden, Igni). In game we will have to make a lot of choices which will have influence in our further play. Playing as a witcher isn’t light. Many people will want to kill us just because we are different. We will meet Scoia’tel, elven rebeliants fighting for freedom (in world of the witcher elves are closed in reservations in mountains, where they die). The game is really good, it has its unique climate, with conspiracy and assassins, where we have to watch our back everywhere. It’s really worth playing.
