mIRC- It's a Internet Relay Chat client for Windows (shareware), created in 1995 and developed by Khaled Mardam-Bey. mIRC has been downloaded over 11 million times form CNET's download.com. Nielsen Net Rankings ranked mIRC among the top 10 most popular internet programs of 2003.
Khaled Mardam-Bey decided to create mIRC because first IRC client laced some basic features. Then he contiuned developing it. The popularity of mIRC allowed him to make a living out of it. It costs 20$ to register it after time evaluation period.
