Reduced Rates for the Holidays at Gladstone Community Center
The Gladstone Community Center will once again offer “Day Passes” and “Guest Passes” at a lower rate for the holiday season. Members of the community center will be able to purchase “Guest Passes” for $5 beginning Dec. 19. The offer will run through January 4, 2010. Also during this time period the center will be bringing back the “Day Pass” for those who are not members. Day Passes will be $5 each if purchased before 2 p.m. daily.

Bring your holiday house guests and work off some energy. Swim. Play. Celebrate!

Sylvan Learning Center Offers Math Seminars
Sylvan Learning will host a “Fraction & Integer Clinic” Wednesday, Dec. 30, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Gladstone site located at 6910 N. Holmes. Make sure your student stays on their math skills over break with this two-hour math clinic. Cost is just $60. Parents, when was the last time you had to add fractions or do a percentage problem? Does the word “algebra” strike fear in your heart? Come to the “Forgotten Math for Parents” seminar on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Sylvan of Gladstone and alleviate your fears. This FREE, fun, interactive seminar will help you overcome your math fears so homework time with your child isn’t quite so scary. You’ll travel from station to station revisiting some of the math skills you may have forgotten, guided by Sylvan teachers along the way.
