This year Clay and Platte County Hillcrest affiliates are joining for a walk at Zona Rose to raise funds to support the transitional housing program that moves families from homelessness to self-sufficiency in 90 days with a 95 percent success rate at the five-year follow-up. The event is Saturday, May 15, beginning at 8 a.m.
Students in the 4th and 5th grade choir from Chapel Hill Elementary have been invited to represent Clay County by singing a patriotic song at the start of the Annual Hillcrest Walk for the Homeless.
