Emperor - black metal group formed in 1991 in Norway.
Emperor was founded by Ihsahn and Samoth. The team existed in 1991-2001 years, then re-established in 2005 exclusively as the concert team.
First time in group were Ihsahn(Vocal, Guitar), Samoth(Percussion) and bass player. They recorded Wrath Of The Tyrant which for fans has the cultic status. Next Samoth become guitar player, joined Faust(Percussion) and bass was changed. In 1994 - In the Nightside Eclipse - thanks to him the team got the worldwide recognition and the populous circle of fans.
At that time in Norway numerous crimes were taken note, mainly on the anti - christ background. Samoth, Faust and bass player went to jail.
In 1996 become Anthems To The Welkin At Dusk their very best, best, best album and probably the best in the World. When they were recording Anthems joined Alver(Bass), Trym(Percussion) and backed Samoth.
On years the composition of the group took turns seweral times. In 1999 - IX Equilibrium the first Blackened Death Metal in the World.
2000-2001 brought the album(Prometheus - The Discipline Of Fire & Demise) and the DVD(Emperial Live Ceremony) - the last projects from Emperor.
In the future Samoth is going to create new DVD.
