Battle of Mycale and Battle of the Eurymedon

The battle of Mycale was one of two major battles in Greco-Persian Wars.The battle took place about August 27 479 before Jezus Christ was born on the slopes of Mount Mycale in mainland Jonia.Greco-city states had 40000 soldiers and 110 ships command by King of Sparta,Leotychides against to 60000 soldiers and 300 ships command by Artayntes.Battle started in opinion of Herodotus from Halikarnas one day after enormous victory of Platea.In the first part of battle Persia was attacked by hoplites from Athens which broke Persia defence.Greco-city states burst into middle Persian army and that's why they take possession on Persia army.In the second part of battle Ionia soldiers which fight together with Persia go over to Greco-states army in this moment Persia army must retread but Greeks burned everyone ships from Persia.After these two battles all Persia navy was destroyed by very good triers from Grece.In 478 BC Grece navy command by Pauzanias release Jonia city.The naval Battle of the Eurymedon took place in 466 BC on the Eurymedon river in Asia Minor and was fought between Delijan league and Persia.Delijan league had 250 ships command by Cimon against to 350 ships from Peria command by Ferendatis.The Delijan league completely destroyed Persia navy again we see how good is Grece navy.
