Downbeat Performs at Fall Breakfast Event

This year’s Fall Breakfast hosted by the North Kansas City Schools Education Foundation will feature entertainment from Downbeat, a musical group comprised of current and former Crestview Elementary School students. In addition, Superintendent Todd White will deliver his annual State of the District address. The event is Thursday, Sept. 23, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Harrah’s Hotel in North Kansas City. Individual reservations cost $30, and sponsorships levels range from $100 to $10,000. Contact Linda Martens at (816) 413-5003 to place a reservation.

The Fall Breakfast theme is “Teach. Learn. Together. Embracing a Global Culture.” It reflects the need for today’s students to understand and appreciate all aspects of the world around them to achieve success in school and in life. Several of the grants funded by the Education Foundation for the 2010-2011 school year provide students with a global point of view.
