Flower Travellin' Band circa 1969

The Flower Travellin' Band were a Japanese Heavy Psych band that wrote albums and gigged in the late 1960's and early 1970's. The band started as a side project of
Yuya Uchida when he returned to Japan after visiting his good friend, the legend known as John Lennon. When visiting Lennon, Uchida had the pleasure of meeting upcoming artists such as Jimi Hendrix and Cream.

They released an album titled Challenge! in 1968, featuring covers of songs by Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Jefferson Airplane, and Big Brother and the Holding Company, in addition to an original song. The art-work caused a stir in the Japanese media as it depicted each member posing naked.
