Tendulkar to miss ODI series

India's premier batsman Sachin Tendulkar will miss the one-day series against hosts Sri Lanka due to an elbow injury.

Tendulkar, who jarred his left elbow while attempting a catch on the second day of the third Test in Colombo on Saturday, could be sidelined for between two and three weeks.

Middle order batsman Subramaniam Badrinath will replace him for the series starting on August 18.

Tendulkar had only returned from injury for the three-Test series, having missed last month's Asia Cup in Pakistan.
