Board Approves 2010-11 Academic Calendar

On Feb. 9, the Board of Education approved the academic calendar for 2010-11. It is now posted on the district Web site.

Key changes include:

• All inclement weather days will be made up at the end of the school year on a one-to-one basis. (The 2009-10 calendar included three built-in inclement weather days, plus three at the end.)
• There are fewer half-days.
• Winter Break has been shortened by two days based on how the holiday
  fell within the calendar (December 25 is a Saturday).
