Gladstone's Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
The City of Gladstone will host its Annual Mayor's Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 6 p.m. This year's ceremony will be held at the First Bank of Missouri, 5959 N. Antioch Rd. Jim Flink from KMBC Ch. 9 will emcee. Students from Chapel Hill Elementary, Antioch Middle and North Kansas City High School will provide musical entertainment. Santa Claus will visit, the tree will be lit, and cookies and warm beverages will be served.

The occasion marks the beginning of the 2009 Mayor's Christmas Fund Drive. In addition to cash donations, we are seeking contributions of non-perishable food items (especially canned fruit) and cleaning and toiletry supplies for the Northland Christmas Store. All cash proceeds raised through this effort will be divided equally between the Northland Christmas Store, which helps disadvantaged Northland families, and Gladstone Neighbors Helping Neighbors (GNHN), which assists disadvantaged Gladstone residents with property maintenance, upkeep, and home winterization.

Attend this fun-filled evening and bring your contribution!
