Royworld Brakes

Stunning hi-val production job and the result is an impassioned and emotive plea but the music isn’t fresh or even particularly original – somehow I expected more.

Which isn’t to say that Royworld aren’t excellent at what they do: just that what they do hasn’t got that air of edge that I want from a major label act.

Oddly, the instrumental version that accompanies the single is better – the slightly whining and drawn vocals leaving the music to speak for itself and the shimmering guitar work and keys carry the song better.

There is no question that as musicians the band have some real talent going for them and the instrumental would make a brilliant chill out or end of the night slow dancer but these guys are still a work in progress. Mind, the album should be a cracker!
