Free citizenship classes are scheduled for those interested in learning the requirements and procedures for becoming a naturalized U.S. citizen. Class are open to all lawful permanent residents, 18 years or older, who speak and read English at intermediate level or above.
Students will study the 100 questions on the new test for the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and learn how to fill out the N-400 application. The 3-week course meets on consecutive Saturday mornings, 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Jan. 16, 23, and 30, 2010. The course is free. Students will enroll during the first class. No pre-registration is required.
