A friend showed me a very interesting film called Slacker. The film has no plot, no A-list actors, but rather randomly follows a wide array of teens, punks, hippies, conspiracy theorists, anarchists, social misfits, students, scrubs and, of course, slackers on an average day in Austin, Texas. The movie gives you an interesting look into the lives and opinions of these people and how they are all connected for just a glimpse of the eternal, never-ending sequence of occurrences. Directorial debut of Richard Linklater, the man who brought you Waking Life, the next film on my "to watch" list. Oh yeah, and be sure to keep a close eye on how fuckin' tight the 80s/90s style is in this movie. damn.
