Shala - I Aint Goin'

Local Chicago rapper Shala is dishing out some of the dopest shit around lately. The music is honestly hard to define, though. Yes he spits rap reminiscent of angry Crunk tunes but it's over some of the most unique beats I've heard in a while, especially coupled with rhymes. Needless to say, the original is dope as shit, and the remix that Distortion King Fantastadon deals out is one hard hitting banger with sexy, sexy vocoding!

How these guys weren't played relentlessly on the radio, i do not know....I mean, what the fuck?? This album has some of the catchiest Electro/New Wave hybrid tracks of all time! I've been listening to their debut album Kick (2006) and honestly, this album was more influential to me than, say, the Klaxons debut album Myths of the Near Future (which was amazing as well).

Be on the lookout for anything new from these guys...it's bound to be hottt!
