Samnium wars are the next part of story about Roman Republic .First of all I must tell you about attacked Celts in 386 year before Jezus Christ was born(Celts were Indo-European group which spoke Celtic language and lived in Great Britain and in north France).Celts destroyed all the Rome city when gooses from the Capitol Hill woke up defenders of Rome who started fight with Celts and thanks to gooses soldiers saved Rome. After this attack Rome started built a new wall made of stone. Rome was rebuilt and started attacked on Samnites. First war with Samnites took place between 343 to 341 BC in this war Roman republic won two battles and Samnits became willing to make a peace. Second war with Samnites took place 326 to 304 BC. Roman republic continued expansion on territory of Italy but in 321 BC took place a huge battle-Battle of the Caudine Forks. Roman republic army was command by consul Titus Vetorius Calvinus against to Samnium army command by Gaius Pontius.The result of this battle for Roman republic was sad,Rome loosed battle and four couple of years stoped expansion on Samnites. After many of battles a both sides conclusioned peace in 304 BC which was a little brake in Samnium Wars.
