A Granada engagement

I came across Sara Lazaro through the spanish wedding blog Tul y Flores. Sara is a spanish wedding photographer and when I perused her site and blog I was fascinated. This engagement is absolutely gorgeous, not only because  the setting is gorgeous Granada but Sara has also captured beautifully this couple's love. Very happy to see that this kind of photography is also taking over Spain! Way to go Sara!

English Wedding

Some of you might remember a post about an  engagement shoot I posted some months ago. It was beautifully done by the incredibly talented Chloe from Caught the Light. The couple was gorgeous and I was really looking forward to their wedding photos. And people, it's amazing, Philippa, the bride wore 2 of the most wonderful dresses I have ever seen and the whole setting is stunning.

PS: through Philipa's blog I discovered were the dresses come from:
white dress by Valentino, green dress by Jenny Packham (A/W 2008 collection) - Check her blog out, she is the sweetest!

Brunch in Paris

I'm pretty sure you have all already seen this today but I had to post it, too lovely to miss really! Today I feel like wearing a low cut fabulous black dress, red lips and nails and lower down my wayfarers, while I eat brunch and read the newspaper. Too much? it wouldn't be if I was in Paris is the 1950's, would it now? This Breathless inspired outfit by photography extraordinaire Jamie has me dreaming.

Spain by Lindbergh

We went to the hairdresser the other day and while browsing Vogue Spain, I saw these gorgeous photos.  It's a Spanish celebration shot by the super talented german photographer, Peter Linbergh.  I absolute adore this celebration of everything Spain has to offer: beauty, creativity, talent. From Penelope Cruz to the Flamenco dancer Eva Yerbabuena and from Antonio Banderas to Manolo Blahnik, there is lots to celebrate.

Norman Jean Roy

This week I see a trend in the blog, Christmas, which is obvious and photography. Actual photographer crush? Norman Jean Roy.
I saw this beautiful photo of Blake Lively at the fab Dustjacket Attic and I had  to check the photographer. Beautiful.
Love LOVE the one one of Penelope Cruz, so artfully done.

In the Mood for Love

I'm a big fan of Erin Hearts Court work, their photography is beautifully done and I love how they capture every single detail of the love. This engagement shoot in Bali had me at hello. It was inspired by In the Mood for Love.
I haven't watched the movie but now it has definitely put me in the mood.

A Colorful baby shower

How pretty is this baby shower tablescape shoot by Brea McDonald. I love the simplicity of the flowers and warm colors. And I love (yes!) that this theme can be used for any informal gathering. Simple, pretty and stylish!

Ready for the weekend? I definitely am! I have no plans at all, which is always welcome. The weather is getting colder and I'm planning on having some down town, watch films, catch up on your blogs and read the many many magazines I have waiting.
Might also visit the pop up Kate Spade store. I'll definitely let you know if I make it out of the house ;)
Have a nice one!!

Alfred and Marilyn

I got my November Vanity Fair issue and Marilyn was staring at me, what again I thought. Her private diaries that is where she shares her fears, opinions about the Kennedys, her life as a wife and a startlet. An incredible read no doubt. All these are extracts of the recently published, Fragments: Poems, Intimate Notes, Letters. What caught my eye, is the cover, an immaculate Marilyn, simply dressed, reading, writing, thinking, totally stunning.
The photo is part of a set by Alfred Eisenstaedt. These were taken in 1953, close to the time when  "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" was released.

Civil weddings? oh yes!

The Truth be told I have always dreamt of a big, bold wedding but seeing this I might have to reconsider. Wear a lace dress, killer heels, your man next to you, what better? I love how Trent Bailey captured all the love and transformed the affair in an incredibly romantic sight. Beautiful work.

make sure you check Trent Bailey's work it's stunning!
