I got my November Vanity Fair issue and Marilyn was staring at me, what again I thought. Her private diaries that is where she shares her fears, opinions about the Kennedys, her life as a wife and a startlet. An incredible read no doubt. All these are extracts of the recently published, Fragments: Poems, Intimate Notes, Letters. What caught my eye, is the cover, an immaculate Marilyn, simply dressed, reading, writing, thinking, totally stunning.
The photo is part of a set by Alfred Eisenstaedt. These were taken in 1953, close to the time when "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" was released.
