Faberge Spider Brooch Faberge Black Widow Brooch Faberge Jewelry
Faberge Spider Brooch Faberge Black Widow Brooch Faberge Jewelry - I could be wrong on this but I'd wager that if Rick had screwed himself then the show's producers would have made sure to show that fact later in the show. The fact that they didn't is a pretty good reason to accept that Rick and probably the customer as well got something resembling a fair deal. This one caught my attention as well. I know Russian coins and Russian silver better than jewelry but I thought he overpaid. Possibly he took a shot because of the cameras - the advertising value they ad to the value of the stuff he buys and his ability to resell it. I could see someone calling or visiting the store and saying "I want that pin I saw on your show" no matter how overpriced. And even if they don't, look at the number of customers that airing will bring in. Win win for him

Royal engagement photos 'inspired by Diana'
According to the internet media, its all about the latest news and updates, internet media provided real hot topic information, that news latest updates is LONDON — The engagement photos of Prince William and Kate Middleton were inspired by the mood at photo shoots with Princess Diana, photographer Mario Testino said.
The celebrity photographer told American Vogue that playing music by French singer Dalida — the same tracks used while he photographed Diana, William's late mother — was the secret to the royal couple's relaxed poses.
"The contrast of the contemporary informal music playing in the beautiful rooms with so much history caused a lot of laughter," he was quoted as saying.
William and Middleton chose two images for release after the photo shoot at St. James's Palace last month, shortly after they announced their engagement. The couple, set to wed April 29, looked relaxed and happy in the images.
Middleton was an "easy sitter" because of her natural grace, Testino said, adding that she was humorous but also appeared to have developed "a perfect sense of royal responsibility."
The Peruvian fashion photographer has worked with William many times in the past, and is a royal family favorite who captured some of the most iconic images of Diana. A series of glamorous black-and-white images he took of her were published in Vanity Fair in 1997, shortly before her death in a Paris car crash.

The King's Speech tops field with 12 Oscar nominations

According to the internet media, its all about the latest news and updates, internet media provided real hot topic information, that news latest updates isBritish historical drama The King's Speech garnered 12 Oscar nominations on Tuesday, leading the competition for the film industry's top honours.
The film, starring Colin Firth as a stammering King George VI, beat rivals including The Social Network, which won the most Golden Globes earlier this month.
True Grit, the Coen brothers' take on the classic Western, came in second with 10 nominations. The Social Network and Inception won eight nominations each for the 83rd annual Academy Awards to be held on February 27.
The King's Speech was a relative latecomer to the Oscars race, and scored only one Golden Globe award.
Firth, who won the Golden Globe for his performance in the British movie, is widely tipped for a Best Actor at the Oscars.
Helena Bonham Carter, who plays King George VI's wife, was nominated for best supporting actress, along with Amy Adams and Melissa Leo for their roles in The Fighter, Hailee Steinfeld in True Grit and Jacki Weaver in Animal Kingdom'
The Social Network had been tipped to earn the most Oscar nominations after winning four awards at the Golden Globes on January 16. But industry observers had noted that the British royal movie could do better at the Oscars because it was better suited to the tastes of the 6,000-plus members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Verecund? Don’t By Shy, Get This Instead
Verecund, what does it mean? It’s a fancy way of saying shy, bashful, or modest. I often feel verecund, especially after getting ready to face the day in about 10 seconds while a toddler is demanding cookies for breakfast, and lunch hasn’t been packed, and the clock is ticking… Which is why I love this product – even if the morning rush and lack of makeup leaves you feeling a bit verecund, a quick coat will perk you up: It’s just the right blend of subtle and sweet, maybe that’s why it’s called “shy.” Find out what it is and where to get it after the jump…
This personal fave is by make up artist Paula Dorf Lip Slides Lip Gloss in Shy, and you can grab some at beauty shops or on Amazon here. If only it could make a pb&j too.

Chinese President Tells US Defense Chief It Tested Stealth Fighter

Gates told reporters that during his meeting with Hu on Tuesday afternoon in the capital, the Chinese leader confirmed having tested the most modern war plane.
The 18-minute flight from the Aircraft Design Institute near the south-western city of Chengdu early Tuesday afternoon was cheered by hundreds of spectators, Chinese online media reported.
Responding to Gates' query, Hu said timing of the "pre-planned test" was a coincidence and that it had "absolutely nothing to do with" his visit.
The stealth fighter "formed part of China's normal military modernization," according to Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei.

The Coen brothers' gritty tale for kids
If you want to watch a Coen brothers movie with your kids, the options make for a pretty brief film festival. "Raising Arizona," with its loopy comic energy and nods to the Road Runner, isn't a bad starting point, though you still might have some explaining to do about the whole kidnapping thing. "The Hudsucker Proxy" has that marvelous, wordless sequence in which we see the hula hoop take flight in children's minds. But that's three minutes out of nearly two hours. "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" Maybe. Provided your child digs Greek mythology and bluegrass music.¶It's not like Joel and Ethan Coen lie awake at night worrying about this hole in their filmography. That would signal they actually think about their body of work and the meaning of it all, when, really, once they finish a film, it's on to the next one. Self-analysis after the fact has never been their thing. ¶But when Joel, 56, took Charles Portis' novel "True Grit" off the shelf a few years ago to read aloud with his son, Pedro (now 16), the idea hit him that it'd make for a great movie, yes, and that it was a kind of movie they'd never done before.

China defense chief says military hardware drive no threat
Jan 9 (Reuters) - China's military technology lags decades behind the world's most advanced armed forces and does not threaten any country, the Chinese defense minister said on Monday after talks with Defense Secretary Robert Gates. Gates's visit from Sunday to Wednesday comes a week before Chinese President Hu Jintao's state visit to Washington.
"The efforts that we place on the research and development of weapons systems are by no means targeted at any third country or any other countries in the world, and it will by no means threaten any other country in the world," Chinese Minister of Defense Liang Guanglie told reporters after talks with Gates.
U.S. officials have noted quick advances in China's anti-ship ballistic missile programme, which could challenge U.S. aircraft carriers. China may also be preparing to launch its first aircraft carrier in 2011, faster than some estimates, and new photos indicate it has a prototype of a stealth fighter jet.

Faberge Spider Brooch Lie
Faberge Spider Brooch Lie – A number of reports in the past few days have talked about the Faberge, an iconic jewelry house behind the imperial Easter egg, would be releasing a brooch that is shaped like a spider.By 7 AM this morning, the term was the third most searched term on Google, and more than 25,000 web sites had referenced the phrase.

However, it now appears that those that are interest in the accessory will have to look elsewhere, as a spokesperson for the company this morning stated that the reports are “untrue and unfounded.” More so, she pointed out that the reported jewelry does not fit into the company’s creative vision.
“The new pieces follow the framework of the three themes within the collection – Les Fleurs de Fabergé inspired by famous Fabergé flower studies,” the company said in a statement via Time.

Ravens overpower Chiefs
The Chiefs (10-7), who won the AFC West with a six-game improvement and took pride in not beating themselves, managed just 25 yards in the second half.
“To set records is one thing,” said Lewis, who forced a fumble and had a sack in the second-half dismantling of the Chiefs. “To come out and play the way we've played in the third quarter all year and the last two weeks, just giving up seven points to opponents, that's championship-caliber football.”
Baltimore (13-4) broke open a close game with a touchdown and two field goals off turnovers in the second half. Joe Flacco threw two touchdown passes, Billy Cundiff kicked three field goals and Willis McGahee closed out the scoring with a 25-yard run in the fourth quarter.
The Ravens will head to Pittsburgh next Saturday, renewing one of the league's fiercest rivalries. They split their season series with the Steelers, with each team winning on the other's home field.

Stanford begins process to replace Harbaugh
STANFORD, Calif. -- Stanford athletic director Bob Bowlsby has met with the entire Orange Bowl-winning Cardinal football staff since the departure of coach Jim Harbaugh to the San Francisco 49ers on Friday.
Bowlsby is moving ahead in his search for Harbaugh's replacement, first determining who the internal candidates might be. Bowlsby said Saturday he has spoken with each member of the staff but wouldn't categorize any of the sessions as formal interviews.
"I've talked to the whole coaching staff a number of times over the last day," Bowlsby said.
President John Hennessy - on hand at Maples Pavilion to honor women's basketball coach Tara VanDerveer for her recent 800th victory - said the school would like to find Harbaugh's replacement soon but also work to hire the right person. National signing day the first week of February is approaching in a hurry and there is recruiting to be done.

Backfield suffers second hit as Williams also opts for NFL
BLACKSBURG Virginia Tech's loaded 2010 backfield will be down to just one proven tailback for the 2011 season after third-year sophomore Ryan Williams announced Sunday that he's leaving early for the NFL.
Williams took his time with the decision and considered returning to the Hokies for another season before finally following fellow Tech tailback Darren Evans, a fourth-year junior who said Thursday that he was turning professional.
"When they say you have the potential to be a first-rounder, that's something that's hard to pass up," Williams said in a school-released statement. He is widely projected to go no lower than the second round in April's draft. "This has been my dream since I was 6 and I've never wanted to do anything else."
Back in August, it seemed to be a foregone conclusion that Williams would leave after this season. He'd rushed for a school-record 1,655 yards and 21 touchdowns as a redshirt freshman in 2009. But then Williams partially tore a hamstring in Tech's third game of this season and missed the next four games.
