A bright kitchen!

This was posted a while ago at the Kitchn so you might have already seen it but I had (had had had) to post. I dream of the very perfect kitchen. Im not a great cook, nor have much imagination when it comes to cooking but I love kitchens, gadgets, recipes, food and everything in between. So this one here is one of my dream kitchens!
Great glass doors, wood, lots of light pretty vignettes. Functional, pretty, colourful but sophisticated: just perfect.

In more serious matters, what happens in Japan is absolutely devastating, every day seems to be a bit worse. Connie wrote a great post about how to help, check it out here. Thinking of Japan

Tea and greens

Well it's almost almost here, the weekend is here! Is everyone excited? I certainly am! No specific plans, maybe a trip to Ikea. I have been thinking of going for ages but never made it. I would also like to pick up (somewhere?!) some vintage(y) tea tins to make something like this here. How gorgeous it is? I have wished many times I had a window just above the sink!

What a great kitchen!

You know how much I love kitchens? A lot! Many different styles of kitchens so when I saw this house tour I HAD to share the amazing kitchen. It has many of the elements I'm loving right now. Open shelving, traditional and modern mix, colors, butler sink, mix and match and the Harry Allen Pig bank! Check the rest of the tour, it's beautiful!

Las Vegas by DeCesare

This Las Vegas home decorated by the DeCesare Design Group is a little dream. Look at the floors! How much fun are they? Love the retro 50's vibe in the office and the laundry room. The inspiration board is fantastically huge and the polka dot border is a vibrant contrast to the tomato reds. Perfect kitchen too.

Pining Kitchens

Happy Thanksgiving Day to all my American friends! Wishing you all a beautiful day filled with joy and love. xoxo
*****
This past weekend I found myself pining non stop... kitchens. Yes, my beloved kitchens. So I thought it was only fair to seat down and put together a kitchen post. What? do you see recurrent elements? Yes, me too. That butler sink (*thanks Iona!), open shelves, perfect storage and rustic elements seem to be my ticking boxes.

White & Wood

I've said "this is my dream kitchen" many times but I realized today that if I'm ever lucky and have the chance to build my own it would look like a combination of the ones here, white, with wood, preferably with a big wooden island in the middle and a vintage sink like the one on the third photo (and the last one from the Emerson house). Yes that's what I want, that's what I dream.
What would your dream kitchen look like?

Casa Decor 2009: the kitchen

Remember some time ago I told you about the Casa Decor in Madrid? This is the 2009 kitchen. Looks familiar? Yes, it's Ikea, I know some of you have a love-hate (or just hate) relationship with Ikea, but to be honest, I like them and I especially like their kitchens. 2009 was the first year Ikea participated in Casa Decor, they brought their best kitchen, scandi (of course) with lots of white and splashes of greys and reds. I think it's very functional, family centered and good looking too. So... love? no no? so so?
