Quirky pretty cottage

Over my long weekend I browsed all over Apartment Therapy's house tours and managed to finally finish reading Lonny, finally!!

I really like this little converted cottage, so quirky and full of colors. So very personal and fun. I wouldn't mind the size being so well made. And please tell me you don't absolutely love the yellow exterior?

A designer portfolio: David Lawrence

David Lawrence has talent, a classic meets city sophistication vibe. His work is flawless, the colors are in great symphony with the patterns and it has a very homey feeling. 

This living room is probably one of my favorites, an incredible modular sofa, plush pillows, ottomans used a coffee tables, great use of space. Love it!

The wall is coming together

My "so called" art wall in our bedroom is taking form slowly. It looks ok, all the prints are really pretty and I'm really happy I chose them but I guess there is a lot missing yet. Here's a quick snapshot (ignore my ubber ugly lamp please). And one from one of the walls in our entry hall.

Camille Goutal's home in Ile de Re

In line of this morning's post I wanted to share how I came to discover Ile de Re and write about it. It was thru Camille Goutal's beautiful holiday home in the little island. Camille is the daughter of the late Annick Goutal, the famous parfumeur. She spent her summer holidays with her mom in Ile de Re, is a small converted shed and with the years Camille bought a property near by and converted it to this beautiful, easy going and incredibly comfortable family home. What a great place to spend the holidays!

The decor is a combination of antiques and, yes Ikea.

An art wall

I'm slowly putting together an art wall in our bedroom (thanks 3M Command!) I have been inspired by many around the web and blogosphere but these here are my core inspiration. Paula from Two Ellie (49 has one in each room, how creative, photos of her family and art by her kids mixed with pretty prints. She says she was inspired by Moomah (1 and 5), and how right she is! I love the mix and match in SFgirlbybay Victoria's home (5). So eclectic. And what is it what I love more? Thank you can create anything you like and make it work as you want.

The most perfect pink room

Christina from Full House is one of the persons I have never met I admire most. Not only because she is absolutely stunning with a fabulous family (5 little ones!) but also because she is incredibly sweet and an incredibly talented super mom DIY Goddess. Her blog is a reflection of that. Christina recently finished working on her girls' bedroom, and hello gorgeousness! and hello budget friendly! $250! I asked her if I could move in there for a while, not sure if her girlies would approve but I think I would be in princess' heaven. 

Fab? If you haven't been to Christina's blog, make sure you have plenty of time to peruse it, you will love it!

Rock n' Roll: Jo Berryman house tour

Today's house tour is a real gem. A mix of eclectic, rock n' roll, creativity and individuality. It's interior designer Jo Berryman's home in London. Jo has an interior counsultancy business, Matrushka, and is a true band girl, after all she was married Guy Berryman of Coldplay.

The 4 storey Victoria home has some amazing details, like the gorgeous kitchen and the swoon worthy Carri-esque bedroom/closet. I'm absolutely loving those crystal bells hiding little treasures.

Chiang Mai

A couple of weeks ago I ordered a pair of Chiang Mai cushions, the Schumacher ones. I have been looking at them for months, yes, no? I wasn't sure and at the time I was on a spending hiatus but that's over and the cushions are now here! I might not be able to afford whole yardage to upholster an arm chair (note to self, I don't have a chair to upholster anyway) but I will have a little piece of this beauty.
