Bathwater

How does Limewax like his bathwater? This cut is a couple years old now, but I can't say I've heard anything quite like it. Keep a look out for more stuff from the Therapy Sessions crew here. The track I posted has a low bitrate, so if you're feelin it, buy it and hear how it should sound.

Loveless

From the renowned album "Two Pages", this is a deeply inspiring tune, one that grows more and more relevant when considering the current state of our relationship to our universal Mother. At times, what is profound is what is simple and straightforward, genuine in its execution. Find comfort and joy in what you truly love, because life is too short to do otherwise.

Back to the Machine

Resurrecting his older, more "machine" sounding style is Germany's king of the dark and cryptic, Current Value. The debut long player on Subsistenz records can be described as industrial and atmospheric, with each song carrying an enormous amount of weight and presence. Bass that sounds like a technological malfunction and eerie pads abound, the familiar CV formula that never ceases to permeate into your skull.

Sabre - A Wandering Journal

Based off of a series of photographs, Sabre's A Wandering Journal provides an audio journey which lives up to its title. A cohesive album meant to be listened to in one sitting, it is a very innovative work, distancing itself from being just another LP that is more a less a collection of 12" singles. For me, the drums are the driving force of the album, emanating a moody tribal vibe throughout. Beautiful imagery wanders through the sonic field, giving definition to a love for music we can all share.

Nonplus+

Nonplus+ is the brainchild of UK duo Instra:mental. Boasting only a small library of quality releases, the label has a very promising future. Pushing a sound all their own, I believe the producers found on this label hold the key to innovation within drum & bass, merging different forms of music together and discovering something new and exciting in the process.

From Deep Space

If there's one thing that will make this February one to remember for me (music wise) it's hands down the new LP from Neosignal's Phace & Misanthrop "From Deep Space". After rinse-rinse-rinsing their absolutely huuuuuge singles "Hyzer" and "Viperfish" my ears have been yearning to be bathed in a full length album of the trio's vicious neuro sound. Over a year in the making, "From Deep Space" has proven itself to be the definitive sound of neurofunk of the past, present and future. Murky basses emphasize futuristic tones as "dirt keeps the funk alive". I plan on blaming this album 100% for any speeding tickets I may accumulate in the coming months.

Raiden

Hardware legend and mastermind behind drum & bass/techno label Offkey, Raiden brings the filth once again. Watch the conga shuffle, oh lawdy. "In a sense this is only the beginning...you truly have to know where you came from in order to know where you're going".

1984

Sharing the same title as Orwell's famed novel, Alix Perez's new album 1984 breathes new life into drum & bass. For any who find themselves bored with the familiar formula of an amen and a reese, look no further. 1984 merges the club aspect with that of the home listener to create something quite refreshing and intricate. Delving into down tempo and hip-hop, the album covers an incredibly wide musical spectrum. Soulful melodies intertwine with precise breaks and deep bass to provide an atmosphere akin to a funk-filled, smoke-ringed lounge. Out on Friction's Shogun Audio October 12th, this is the drum & bass album of 2009 from the drum & bass label of 2009.

Jamaican accents...So funny, So Sick!

Can Andy Milonakis not be fucking hilarious?? I guess it depends on if you're sick of auto-tune and fake Jamaican accents....

Now, if you're like us, then you're certainly not partial to Drum'n'Bass, which often features real RastaRappers. For instance Pendulum's "Tarantula" feat. Fresh, $pyda & Tenor Fly and "Fasten Your Seatbelt" feat. The Freestylers are two of the most fuckin' phat-nasty DnB tracks I've ever heard...so I absolutely recommend you download 'em, as well as their entire debut album
Hold Your Colour.

Keep in mind this album is from 2005. But that doesn't matter because we here at YB aren't really as interested in posting the newest of the new tracks that come out rather than introducing people to styles of music they might not have been subjected to!

I Love Nintendo!

I love 8-bit music. Something I can pretty much solely contribute to how much Nintendo (aka Video-Crack) I played as an over-gamed product of the 90's who, like millions of kids strung out on frosted flakes, was way too into flashing shit.

If you're like me and you're a die-hard Nintendo fan, then you will love vNES. Short for VirtualNES, vNES allows you to play many of those great old-school Nintendo games you miss so much. For those of you who are familiar with the extreme awesomeness of Game Emulators, vNES differs in a great way: you can play many of your favorite old games right in your browser, using your keyboard as the controler!

Let's just say I was kicking some serious ass at
Home Alone - Lost in New York
Contra
Air Zonk
(quite possibly my favorite game of all time, for TurboGrafx 16!)

Perhaps the most extensive website for in-browser gaming I've come across is The Smartass. This site is great because it is not limited to only Nintendo games, but also TurboGrafx 16, Sega Genesis and more! This site also offers a great selection of online videos and other shit to keep you occupied this winter.

Note that some games may be blacked-out due to unavailability, so if you can't find the game you are looking for, check out these other Emulator Sites: for Nintendo games try NESplay and for other console games try Game Oldies.

I sincerely apologize to the neglect that family, friends and loved one's will experience due to these web-sites.
