Feeling Stronger Every Day!

Another nap and a longer walk today. Took a nice walk yesterday evening and then we were surprised by good friends (you know who you are), who took us for a ride in their jeep. Fun! Lots of reading and praying, too.  Feeling stronger every day!

They've been releasing the best remixes out of Chicago to date and they know how to throw some amazing dance parties, which, really beat the hell out of just getting drunk at the bar to a guy "mixing" songs off of his fkn iPod, y'know? Plus they sometimes have a heart for you punks that are'nt 21 yet and make most of their shows 18+ as well.

Midnight Conspiracy

Chicago's Midnight Conspiracy is a collaborative trio combining the genius, party throwing gods behind Members Only and one half of Chicago's electro-heads La Dolce Vita. If anything is to be said about what these kids have done on their own account, be prepared for some epic shit to come when they put their powers together.

Seriously, I foresee some weird ass Captain Planet shit going down at MC's upcoming parties where all we see is a flash and before we know it all hunger, poverty and oil spills will cease to exist! OK. Probably not, but there will definitely be drunken dancing ^.^

When I first met Hebru, I was a bit taken aback. At 6foot6 plus, the dude is a beast! Makes sense, though. His paintings can rise over ten feet and his street art his as tall as it is wide, too. But the thing that stood out most to be about Hebru is how genuinely fucking awesome this guy is! He is as kind and endearing as he is talented at art and, if you know anything about art, one look at his paintings and you can tell that says ALOT!

Hey, America! Chicago loves you!!

A flood of emotions overtook me last night in Grant Park, downtown Chicago. The air was electric. As soon as word reached the ecstatic crowd's ears of McCain's conceding, cheering ensued; some laughed as others cried. Fists shot in the air and hugs were given. Race meant nothing as all people shared in the celebrations.

Thousands took to the streets chanting O-Ba-Ma! O-Ba-Ma! Police stood in groups, unable to keep smiles off their faces. History was made last night as the world looked down upon Chicago, and I'm so happy I was there to see it...no -- live it!
