Forty years ago, construction delays postponed the opening of Winnetonka High School. For six months, the Winnetonka student body shared Oak Park High School in a unique and unforgettable double shifts arrangement. When the new high school opened for classes on March 1, 1971, both student bodies were ecstatic.
Relive that joyous day by attending the 40th Anniversary of the First Day of Classes in Winnetonka High School celebration Tuesday, March 1 at 3 p.m. in the Winnetonka auditorium.
