Rihanna - California King Bed [Music Video Premiere]

Rihanna has certainly come a long way from her Music of the Sun era. 10 #1s into her career on the Hot 100 and Rihanna has premiered the music video of her new single California King Bed which sees Rih walking around like a supermodel, and that's okay because she looks drop dead stunning in this video. The understated, elegant look matches the song and while the song doesn't have much of a plot, it's easy to see past that thanks to the star of this video - Rihanna herself.

My only gripe is that her promotional team are kind of.. A huge mess right now. See, California King Bed has been promoted on Idol and at the Academy of Country Music Awards preceding the premiere of the music video, and all of a sudden, they're pushing the release of the song towards the end of the month while they go with the release of Man Down, her single sent to urban radio, right now when promotion for California King Bed is well underway.

If they're not careful with this sticky situation they're caught in, Rih might miss out on her career's next #1.. And whisper it, she might even flop with California King Bed. Though I pray with my hardest it doesn't.

Taylor Swift - Mean [Music Video Premiere]

Taylor Swift has enjoyed some massive success in her Speak Now era, and is set to continue this success with the release of third single Mean. The song itself is nice enough but she turned the video into one of those self-empowering anthems which I did not enjoy. Still, it's bound to be a hit with fans.

Cascada - San Francisco [Music Video Premiere]

After random single releases such as Pyromania and Night Nurse, German eurodance pop trio Cascada are back with a new lead single San Francisco. Unfortunately, San Francisco sounds all too generic, and lacks the usual oomph of Cascada's best tracks such as Evacuate The Dancefloor and Pyromania. It's still catchy and fun, but lacks originality and the video isn't great either.

But you can probably see Natalie Horler has gotten rid of the brunette streaks in her hair. Perhaps they thought it was time for a new cleaner, less spunky image? Either way, I need the grit in Evacuate The Dancefloor which is sorely missing from this California Gurls-esque track.

Jennifer Lopez - I'm Into You [Music Video Premiere]

Apart from Nicole Scherzinger, Jennifer Lopez is also gunning for another What's My Name-esque smash hit with her new single I'm Into You. I'm Into You hasn't done anything chart-wise while On The Floor storms charts worldwide, but with this music video, let's hope the song gets a boost up the charts. The video is another one of your romantic videos by the beach, and the dance break in the bridge with J. Lo dancing to Papi which totally didn't fit at all makes this video an ultimately boring one.

Don't get me wrong, Jennifer doesn't look anything but stunning as usual, but without a proper plot or storyline, I'm not entirely sure this video will help this song race up the charts. Boo to that, then.

Nicole Scherzinger - Right There [Music Video Premiere]

Nicole Scherzinger is now armed with 2 Top 3 solo UK chart hits and a Top 10 solo debut album under her belt and is ready to go again with the release of this third single Right There which also serves as the first single to head into the US. Right There is a total and utter Rihanna What's My Name knock-off, but the thing is, Nicole can dance, which means she can easily outperform Rihanna.

Right There is subtly catchy, but I don't think the video is anything amazing and the 50 Cent feature is so unnecessary.

Beyonce new track: Run The World (Girls)

Beyonce's return to music was supposedly to be September this year, but the workaholic just can't stay away from the spotlight. Also, she was due to play some festivals in the summer, which would be odd if she had no new music out. But, here we have a new track called Run The World (Girls) which is a pumping R&B/pop jam which has urban influences. The beat's hot, it's pretty catchy, but I don't see how this does anything for her. But then again, she's split with her father Matthew Knowles as her manager so let's hope she'll be able to take more musical risks musically because we all know she can slay a live performance.

Britney Spears - Till The World Ends (Dance Edit) [Music Video Premiere]

The Britster just premiered the Dance Version of the music video to her Top 10 US hit Till The World Ends and personally, it isn't all that great and she was even doing that much dancing. Oh well. I don't see much of a difference between this clip and the original one anyway.

Jessie J - Nobody's Perfect [Music Video Premiere]

There's been a British pop sensation who's new to the game - Katy B, whom critics are picking over Jessie J. So, the Brit pop darling has decided to go batshit crazy and release this music video for Nobody's Perfect with the entire video having no relation to the song whatsoever, mimicking Rihanna's S&M video in the scene where she was all tied up with the long hair which startlingly reminded me of the scene where Rih was trapped behind the words and headlines in the S&M video.

Meh. This video would've worked for a fun but gothic, dark summer pop single but the song is not. Girl just aimed for Natalia Kills (except with some colour) and missed.

Bruno Mars - The Lazy Song [Music Video Premiere]

Bruno Mars just released the music video of his third single The Lazy Song. Ummm.. I'll let you guys make your mind up for this one.

Britney Spears - Till The World Ends [Music Video Premiere]

The Ray Kay-directed video for Britney's new jaunt Till The World Ends premiered a while ago and I have to admit, thought the Hold It Against Me was all over the place, Brit's team have got their act together and the video for Till The World Ends is pretty good. Of course, I've always liked Ray Kay's videos - she worked with Cheryl Cole on Fight For This Love. She definitely didn't mess this one and the Britster hasn't looked this good in a while.

I'm just excited to see what the "dance version" will bring.

Big News: Britney premieres teaser of video for Till The World Ends

We both know Britney doesn't wanna be in the biz anymore. So let's just keep this short: Brit Brit released a 30 second video (it's 10 human years in our time) for her upcoming music video for her latest Top 10 hit Till The World Ends. She looks good, the music video looks cool, so.. We'll see.

Katy Perry - E.T. (feat. Kanye West) [Music Video Premiere]

The release of the music video for her latest single E.T. coincides perfectly with Katy Perry's said song going to #1 on the Hot 100 this week. In a bid to keep it there for at least one more week, the video has finally been released. Unfortunately, while the song is great, it's far from the epic masterpiece that it was expected to be. The entire video was pretty boring, but it looked expensive and Perry looked gorgeous in the last scene. I just wish it was more.. Happening with this video.

Black Eyed Peas - Just Can't Get Enough [Music Video Premiere]

Forgettable, another pointless release from the Peas for their new single Just Can't Get Enough. And Fergie doesn't even sound like herself. It's time for another hiatus and Fergie solo album, thanks.

Melissa Molinaro - Dance Floor [Music Video Premiere]

Melissa Smith. Remember her? The girl that reached the Top 4 on the Pussycat Dolls: Search For The Next Doll reality TV competition? Well if you do, and if you follow her career, you'll know that she tried to make a mark with the release of pop ballad I Believed. She even went as far as to make a music video for it. While that was nice, it failed to make any impact and she disappeared for a while again.

Then she landed a role playing a popstar Venus on the movie Commander, where she performed her second single Lost In Love. But it appears, now she's back with a new stage name Melissa Molinaro and has just premiered the video for her new single Dance Floor a couple days ago. The video's nice enough, and she's making the most of her budget, but I just wish they'd use less autotune on the verses and bridges.

Nevertheless, I don't see this becoming a hit, but she definitely deserves better material. Robin Antin missed out on casting Melissa Smith/Molinaro alongside the other PCD: SFTND finalists Asia, Melissa R. and Chelsea Korka to form a girl group.

Those 4 girls slayed left and right with their dancing and were all decent singers. Pity there was so much bitching amongst them on the show though. I recently went back to watch that and I've gotta say, Robin really missed out on the jackpot. But if you're wondering what happened to the other three girls, Chelsea's in another girl group called Paradiso Girls, Melissa R. went back to the Phillipines and Asia.. Well, God only knows what happened to her.

Selena Gomez & The Scene - Who Says [Music Video Premiere]

Looking absolutely gorgeous is Selena Gomez in her new music video for Who Says, the lead single lifted from the group's third studio album tentatively set to be released later this year. But did you really expect her to be anything other than gorgeous?

The video starts off with her doing a glamorous photoshoot, before taking off her heels and earrings and running around the city, with words that match the song's lyrics. Then she enters a cab and reaches a little desert before she changes into somthing a little more summery/casual before performing with her band around a bunch of excited teens. It's simple, but fits the bill.

The Wanted - Gold Forever [Music Video Premiere] + Comic Relief

A couple days ago, the boys of The Wanted premiered the video for their Comic Relief single Gold Forever, a slice of electronica-infused pop that starts out slow as a nice ballad before bursting into a ginormous, infectious electronica tune. But my first impression of this song wasn't great. Meh, I thought. Sounded old/tacky (especially the electronica-infused part), but nevertheless, it has somewhat grown on me. The music video unfortunately, isn't great. What was supposed to be a rather belated Christmas house party looked like a cheap studio built up to look like a house. Hmmmm. Guess Alexandra Burke did better with that one for her All Night Long video.

Nevertheless, while the video has completely no link to the actual song, the boys brought their energy to the Let's Dance for Comic Relief show and debuted Gold Forever on TV. Their vocals didn't sound half bad too. Definitely infectious.

Jennifer Lopez - On The Floor [Music Video Premiere]

Putting most pop performers to shame is Jennifer Lopez who has just premiered the video for her newest hit - On The Floor. Pitbull, as usual, was sitting around with a couple of scantily clad women surrounding him. But of course, that doesn't take away from the real star of this video - J. Lo herself. The video starts with Jennifer exiting a black car and entering the club where she gets 'on the floor' and starts dancing around, attracting attention from the club owner - J. Lo herself, and Pitbull.

However, I could've dealt with a lot more fierce dancing from J. Lo, which is why I was anticipating to watch this clip so much.

Lady Gaga - Born This Way [Music Video Premiere]

Boy does she have a good marketing team surrounding her. A week after the highly-anticipated debut of her new single Born This Way, it debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, opening with digital numbers more than half a million. Then came the performance at the Grammys which helped to push another 500K+ copies of the single, letting it stay atop the Hot 100. This week, we've received the music video, bound to let Born This Way continue its reign on the Hot 100.

But, back to the video. It's obviously Gaga trying to be artistic again, starting off with the birth of a new race, then Gaga stripping unnecessarily down to underwear to dance around. I will admit though, it's a whole lot better than Britney's video/dancing in Hold It Against Me, but that's not saying much. Frankly put, it wasn't the second coming of anything, but it'll keep Born This Way buzzed about that's for sure.

Ke$ha - Blow [Music Video Premiere]

Ke$ha cleaned up, got a bit more ridiculous, looks sizzling hot, and has given us an... Interesting video for her new single Blow. At least it didn't take 10 years like the previous video We R Who We R did. And it wasn't about a bunch of dirty people dancing around, grinding, doing all naaaasty things to each other in a club. And the video did have a sense of humour. You know what? I atcually think this isn't half bad. Ha. Oh Ke$ha, how you amuse me.

In case bloody VEVO blocked it in your country, watch it: HERE

Jennifer Hudson - Where You At [Music Video Premiere]

Critically-acclaimed singer/actress Jennifer Hudson's music video for her brand new single Where You At just premiered and to be honest, in this era, you can't not mention how amazing J. Hud looks. But besides that, the video was really nice with lots of beautiful scenes and was shot in her home city of Chicago. Let's just hope this doesn't flop amidst the dance/pop trend.
