Hollywood Inn Express...Motel twist on room service! Sex on demand!

More than free breakfast at Hollywood Inn Express!

After a strenuous few all-nighters reporting on the Royal Wedding, and scrambled for two days to stay on top of the breaking news about the Osama bin Laden stealth mission that resulted in the terrorist's death (?), I was finally too popped to participate.

So, I plopped down on the comfy king size bed at my Motel, and slipped off into dreamland.

Suddenly, as I lay deep in slumber, a disturbance shook me from my peaceful state..

As I started to reach waking consciousness, I glanced in the direction of the door, and was startled to spy a man standing there!

As I quickly collected my thoughts in a concerted effort to free a fog hanging over my head, the unidentified male proceeded to strike up a conversation.

"Did you want fresh towels?"

OMG!

The male maid assigned to my Motel room just breezed in without knocking first.

I nodded in the affirmative as I proceeded to pull myself together

Within minutes, the Motel employee was back quizzing me once again.

"Are you single?"

Say what?

Not to be rude, I noted that I was.

But, it struck me a second later that I should not be having this bizarre dialogue with a total stranger hired to service the room, not me!

Before I could get my wits about me, the Latino male hit me with another question.

"Why?"

I quickly noted that I hadn't met the right person, then proceeded to wave him off.

"Thank you for the towels," I responded in a stem dismissive voice.

In all the years I have been a guest at Hotels, I've never experienced this kind of inappropriate intrusive conduct by a maid or any other employee.

I suppose it's to be expected at a Motel where graphic pornos are broadcast on the TV 24.7.

The fact that there wasn't any Gideon's Bible in the drawer  of the night desk should have tipped me off, too.

In the future, I guess I'll have to place the chain over the Motel room door before I take a nap, or at least double-latch it from inside to prevent unwanted advances from male (or female) maids.

I suppose if I post a review on Orbitz - with a detailed account of the incident - there will be a non-stop avalanche of bookings at the Motel

Don't forget your rubbers!

Intel's Sandy Bridge sucks up to Hollywood with DRM

CHIPMAKER Intel has cut a deal with Hollywood in its Sandy Bridge chips to put digital restrictions management (DRM) in them.Intel's sellout to the big media companies makes it 'safer' for Hollywood studios to offer premium movies to consumers on locked-down personal computers. No doubt the media content cartels and Intel are dreaming monopolistic visions of extracting big rents to stream everything online.

According to Reuters, Time Warner's digital distribution unit and other studios plan to offer high-definition movies to consumers who have PCs with Intel Sandy Bridge chips inside, simultaneous with releasing them on DVD.

Apparently the media cartels are dead keen to get their content on PCs that are locked-down even to the level of the chip.

Mooly Eden, Intel's VP and general manager of the PC client group said that Intel's embedded DRM allows content to be streamed to computers with Sandy Bridge chips and that Chipzilla is making deals with all the studios and content distributors to make it available.

SAG Awards...touted amidst hoopla in Hollywood! Jeff Bridges, Jesse EisenBerg, Annette Bening nominated!

Today, the Screen Actors Guild announced their nominees for the 17th Annual SAG Awards.

Not my favorite-looking statuette, by any stretch of the imagination.

Don't expect a bunch of quarrelling actors in a troubled Union to get it right!

The red-carpet celebrations will be broadcast amidst a lot of hype & hoopla on TNT and TBS on Sunday, January 30th (8 p.m. ET).

The Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles will host the much-anticipated event.

At that high-profile event, presenters - on behalf of the Guild and its membership - will announce who won top honors for film cast (since SAG does not single out a film per se along the lines of other voting bodies such as the Oscars, the Golden Globes, etc.).

The nominees are "Black Swan," "The Fighter," "The Kids Are All Right," "The King's Speech" and "The Social Network."

In the celebrated arena of Theatrical film releases, the acting nominees for 2010 are:

Each year, the SAG voting committee singles out Outstanding Performances by an Ensemble cast in the realms of TV Comedy and Drama.

For the 2010 calendar year, well-earned nods for dramatic bill-of-fare went to "Boardwalk Empire," "The Closer," "Dexter," "The Good Wife" and "Mad Men."

On the other side of the proverbial coin, nominees singled out for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble cast in a Comedy were handed out to "30 Rock," "Glee," "Hot in Cleveland," "Modern Family" and "The Office."

Screen Actors Guild Awards 47th Annual Life Achievement Award

Ernest Borgnine, a seasoned pro - well-liked and admired in the acting community - has been bestowed with the honor of Lifetime Achievement Award this year.

Deservedly so!

Jennifer Streisand

Jennifer Aniston is to me a classic beauty, the older she gets the more gorgeous she is, don't you agree? When I saw this incredible photo shoot from Harper's Bazaar I gasped, Jennifer Aniston channeling Barbra Sreisand? Beauty, pure beauty!
I'm really happy the weekend is finally here, while I just came back from holiday I can't wait to have some down time, plus, my dad is here so we have planned some stuff.
Have a great weekend lovelies!
