On Monday September 27 2010 everyone is invited to go to the Utah Food Bank 3150 South 900 West at 11:00 AM-

The first 600 people to go and donate 10 cans of food will receive a free pass to the opening night performance of Disney On Ice!

Disney On Ice presents Mickey & Minnie's Magical Journey on Thursday November 11th at the Energy Solutions Arena.

There will be a limit of one ticket per adult and each adult must be present with 10 cans of food in order to receive a free pass.

This is the 5th year that Disney On Ice will be teaming up with Utah food Bank to help out Utah communities.

Tickets for Mickey & Minnie's Magical Journey go on sale Monday, September 27th at the Energy Solutions Arena Box Office or at SmithTix Locations.

Fall in Utah means one thing: Cornbelly's is back! For the 15th year in a row Cornbelly's brings over 20 fall and haunted attractions to the Thanksgiving Point grounds. There are attraction for small kids, adults, and everyone in between.

Cornbelly's all started with a single corn maze. This year there are 3 corn mazes, one is a Fablehaven haunted maze based on the popular novel. The second is a corn maze shaped like the Boy Scouts of America logo to celebrate the 100th anniversary of scouting. The third maze is small and can be navigated through by your littles ones in about 5 minutes. There are so many activities for kids, you can't see it all in one trip! They have slides and swings, pumpkin patches, corn cannons & pumpkin blasters, a ride-on cow train, an attraction called The Jumping Pillow, pig races, duck races, singing puppet shows, bounce houses, and the list goes on! Little girls especially love the fall princess attraction complete with Cinderella's magic pumpkin carriage and princess activities. Little boys especially love the pedal cart attraction where they can navigate a track in leg powered go carts. At night the whole place gets a little more eerie with added spooks at all the attractions and a lighted jack-o-lantern tree. You can also venture into the belly of The Creature, one of the most talked about haunted attractions in Utah.

Go to pick out a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch and stay for all the fun attractions. A trip to Cornbelly's will be the most fun you'll have this Fall! 

T.J. Maxx- Great Deals... YES!

T.J Maxx send me a gift card to go and check out what great deals I could find.

And boy did I ever!

I went to the T.J. Maxx in Brickyard Plaza. Not only did they have great clothings but they also had a Home Goods section that was amazing!

I was surprised to find out how T.J Maxx got such great deals. You can have designer looks for way less!

I took my sister with me (she is a manager of a ( very expensive!) retail store here in Utah) and she loves T.J.Maxx. She said that every time you go in you will find something new!

However, if you love something you need to get it- it wont be there when you go back.

I found kids shirts for $2.50! I found a few books for under $5.00 each.

They had super cute workout outfits for $15.00 for the set.

These however is my favorite item I purchased:

I really don't wear cloths that can't get dirty... I really don't 'cook' that much- 

but I LOVE aprons! 

So when I saw this- I had to have it! 

I was making pancakes on Sunday for breakfast and I don't think I took it off all day ;)

Overall I think T.J. Maxx has great deals! I had my little pea with me when I was shopping and I was able to find plenty of great deals to buy.

My sister says that you do need to 'look' more then at other stores. They have a lot more in their store then others. They can't put every outfit they have on a mannequin.

Delights Fans Young and Old 

Wednesday, September 22^nd

 For 140 Years, it’s one thing you can always count on…the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey^® Circus Parade & Elephant Walk.  Sometime during the night on September 21, a mile-long sixty one car train will arrive into the city, gleaming by the light of the moon. The pre-dawn silence will be broken by the chatter of 130 performers, speaking 15 different languages and the mystical sounds of 100,000 pounds of  Asian elephants, Bengal & Siberian tigers, horses, ponies, llamas, Pygmy and Nubian goat, and a rare Watusi – all joining forces with human performers from the four corners of the world as they disembark in Salt Lake City.   The elephants will raise their trunks and remember the town they’re in. Man and beast will work to get ready for that grandest of traditions, “The Great Circus Parade.”

At noon on Wednesday, September 22^nd the sirens of the Salt Lake City motorcycle police will open the show, as the parade begins at 200 South Rio Grande Street and heads north up through the center of the Gateway Mall, ending at 50 North Rio Grande Street.

Children will line the streets as they have for generations, eyes gleaming with anticipation, parent’s hearts filled with joy for a peek at the newest Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey^® circus extravaganza, Barnum’s FUNundrum!^SM.  This monumental, once in a lifetime event celebrates the 200^th anniversary of the birth of the legendary P.T. Barnum, the Greatest Showman on Earth! 

Children of all ages and families are welcomed to gather together to celebrate the Grand Parade of The Greatest Show on Earth.  Best viewing will be from the either side of the Rio Grande Street up through the Gateway Mall.  Come early for a great seat and be sure to visit local stores at the Gateway Mall to receive your FREE Ringling Bros. clown nose (while supplies last).

The best place to be is on either side of the Rio Grande Street all the way up through Gateway Mall. This is of course a FREE Event! 

Make sure you get there early for good seats.
