Katy Perry and Rihanna are right at the top of the Hot 100 with E.T. leading the way with the Airplay Gainer Title while S&M closes in at #2. Jennifer Lopez' On The Floor inches closer to its peak at #5 while Adele shoots into the Top 10 with Rolling In The Deep hitting a brand new peak of #10. It's Femme Fatale release week and Britney's Till The World Ends rises 9 spots to #13. Bruno Mars' The Lazy Song gains more traction on the charts and makes a new peak of #27 this week. Heading the other way is Selena Gomez & The Scene's Who Says, which falls to #33. Still inching her way up is Jessie J and Price Tag, will crawls a measly one spot to a new peak of #49. As mentioned before, it's Femme Fatale release week and I Wanna Go from the album has debuted at #73.

Speaking of Femme Fatale, it shifts over 270, 000 copies in its first week of release to debut at #1. Jennifer Hudson's sophomore album I Remember Me falls to #7. Avril Lavigne spends her fourth week on the chart with Goodbye Lullaby at #29.

Jennifer Lopez' addictive club stomper On The Floor has flown up to #10, after making a tiny slip to #13 last week. Adele's Rolling In The Deep has returned to the Top 20, hitting #17 this week, just a couple spots away from its peak so far at #13. Christina Perri, Britney Spears and Avril Lavigne are at #21, #23 and #24 respectively with Jar of Hearts, Till The World Ends and What The Hell. Selena Gomez' Who Says falls to #28 after debuting at #24 last week. Bruno Mars continues to fly up the chart, with Marry You making a new peak at #37. Jessie J has crawled into the Top 50 with Price Tag inching its way to a new peak of #50. It's album release week and Jennifer Hudson's Where You At continues to rise, moving up to #64. Over on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart, is Chris Brown's F.A.M.E. on top, while Jennifer Hudson's I Remember Me debuts at #2, shoving Adele to #3 as a result. Avril Lavigne falls a sharp drop to #24 with Goodbye Lullaby falling 17 spots down. Ke$ha's I Am The Dance Commander + I Command You To Dance The Remix Album arrives on the chart at #36. Well, could be worse. You could be Lee DeWyze who has fallen exactly a 100 spots down to #196 this week.

Surprise surprise. Guess who's #1 on the Hot 100 still? Yup, Born This Way still reigns over the Hot 100, with Katy Perry's new offering E.T. quickly gaining some serious steam, peaking at #2 while Rihanna rises to #3 again with the Airplay Gainer Title. After scoring another Top 10 hit a couple weeks ago with their cover of Teenage Dream, Glee has done it again, debuting at #6 with Loser Like Me. The Glee effect continues with Get it Right at #16, Raise Your Glass at #36, Blackbird at #37, Misery at #52, Hell To The No at #53 and Candles at #71. Unfortunately, Jennifer Lopez' On The Floor has taken quite a fall, falling to #13 this week. Hmmm, time for some much-deserved promo, J.Lo? Oof. In it's third week out, Britney's Till The World Ends dips from #9 to a shocking #23, while Selena Gomez & The Scene debut right behind at #24 with Who Says. Jessie J moves up a little again with Price Tag making a new peak at #54. How about a performance on American Idol then? Jennifer Hudson makes a move up to #89 with Where You At. Expect that to move even further up with album release week and a promotional spot on Idol. Christina Perri's melodic new single Arms debuts at #94 this week. Over on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart, Adele rises again to take poll spot with 21 right at the top while Avril Lavigne's Goodbye Lullaby falls three spots to #7. Miranda Cosgrove's new EP High Maintainence debuts at an unimpressive #34. After a performance on American Idol, Season 9's Lee DeWyze is back on the charts with Live It Up re-entering at #96.

Over on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart, Lupe Fiasco's new album Lasers ends Adele's chart reign as Lasers debuts at #1, pushing Adele's 21 into second place. Glee's new Volume 5 soundtrack debuts at #3 while Avril Lavigne's Goodbye Lullaby arrives at #4, making it her lowest-selling album so far in terms of first week sales. Bummer. With little to no promotion, Ellie Goulding's Lights was quietly released to the States, debuting at #129. Even I didn't know the release was so soon. Rubbish promotion. Sara Bareilles chart-topping album Kaleidoscope Heart re-enters at #192.

Avril Lavigne - What The Hell & Push live on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Avril Lavigne's "comeback" album Goodbye Lullaby may have only charted at #4, shifting a little over 80, 000 copies in its first week, but Lavigne's still plugging the album and the single/songs from the album, and hit Jimmy Kimmel Live to perform an acoustic version of What the Hell and her much-desired second single Push. She was sick, by the way, but still sounded great. Check out What The Hell above and Push below.

The top 2 on the Hot 100 stay intact, with Cee Lo Green's Forget You closely behind Lady Gaga's Born This Way, which tops the Hot 100 for a 4th consecutive week. Rihanna's just creeping into the Top 3 with S&M. Another #1 for her? I think so, yes. Jennifer Lopez is doing incredible for herself right now, with On The Floor zipping up to the Top 5, only lagging behind P!nk's F**kin" Perfect. Rushing into the Top 10 is Ke$ha, whose latest single Blow peaks at an all-time high of #7 this week. Shooting up the chart as well is Jar of Hearts, the breakout hit from Christina Perri which peaks at #17 this week. Adele, however, falls to #18 with Rolling In The Deep. Britney Spears' new single Till The World Ends debuts at the rim of the Top 20. Is it just me, or is this Katy Perry's California Gurls and Teenage Dream all over again? Especially with the latter and Till The World Ends debuting at #20 while the albums' lead singles were all at higher positions on the chart. Slipping just a spot to #23 is Avril Lavigne's What The Hell while Jessie J gains some traction on the Hot 100, with Price Tag jumping to #78 this week.

Adele's 21 continues to top the Billboard 200 for a second consecutive week. Exactly what made this happen, I'm not sure, but the soundtrack for Burlesque has leaped more than a 100 spots up, hitting a new peak of #18 this week from #140 last week, getting the Greatest Gainer title.

Avril Lavigne - What The Hell live @ The Today Show

A rather perky and energetic Avril Lavigne who just got back from Japan was on the Today Show to perform new single What The Hell. It is album release week after all. Nevertheless, she finally brought the sass fit for the track, a thing I was missing on live performances for these. And she finally seems happy. Or happier.

Lady Gaga continues to dominate the Hot 100 with Born This Way holding the #1 spot for a third consecutive, with Cee Lo Green refusing to let go as F**k You! gets the Airplay Gainer Title again for the second week in a row at #2. Some risers this week include P!nk's F**kin' Perfect and Rihanna's S&M, moving up to #4 and #5 this week, with S&M reaching a new peak this week. Katy Perry gets the Digital Gainer Title with new single E.T. featuring Kanye West rocketing up to #8. I wouldn't be surprised if this one hits #1 as well. Jennifer Lopez has finally gotten hit she's worked so hard for with On The Floor featuring Pitbull debuting at #9 this week. Also moving up the Hot 100 rapidly is Ke$ha and Adele - two artists on opposite spectrums of pop music, but nonetheless, both of their latest singles Blow and Rolling In The Deep respectively flying up to new peaks of #11 and #13 respectively. Christina Perri's Jar of Hearts continues going strong - remaining at its peak of #21 while Avril Lavigne slips to #22 with What The Hell. Glee's Hot 100 invasion this week starts with Don't You Want Me debuting at #49, with the other tracks Blame It (On The Alcohol), Tik Tok following suit, debuting at #55, #61 respectively. Adele's so-gorgeous-it's-impossible-not-to-fall-in-love-with-it ballad Someone Like You debuts at #65 this week, while another album track Set Fire To The Rain arrives at #88. Thanks to the almighty powers of VEVO and YouTube, Jessie J still hasn't disappeared from the Hot 100 yet, with Price Tag lingering around at #93 after a slip to #99 last week.

Over on the album's chart, there's nothing interesting to take note of except for the fact that Adele's landed her first US #1 album - with 21 shifting an impressive 352, 000 copies in its first week - while 19 gets the Greatest Gainer Title, flying up to #16 from #50.

Adele's chart domination continues with Rolling In The Deep leaping to #26 this week. This week's album week. Expect Rolling In The Deep to fly even higher up next week. Katy Perry's fourth single E.T. which features the irrelevant verses from Kanye West has crashed the Billboard Hot 100 at #28 this week. Well, it's re-entered. It was released as a promo single prior the release of Teenage Dream last year. Ke$ha's also on her way up with current single Blow reaching #32 this week. Another week, another Glee episode. Last week's songs have reached the Hot 100 with Baby, Sing, Take Me Or Leave Me, Somebody To Love debuting at #47, #49, #51, #62 respectively while their previous cover of Forget You re-enters at #90 and Firework slips to #95. With little to no promotion, Colbie Caillat's new single I Do has fallen to #96. Thanks to the powers of VEVO and YouTube, Jessie J's still on the Hot 100, with Price Tag rising a spot to #99 this week. Get promoting, girl.

Over on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart, Justin Bieber's Never Say Never: The Remixes bows at #1, this being his second #1 album. The rest? Nothing interesting to note, really.

Big News: Listen to Avril Lavigne's new album!

After a rather long hiatus due to her record label, pop/punk princess is back and you can now listen to her upcoming album Goodbye Lullaby is full! The album marks her fourth studio album, and she said that she wants to go the acoustic/pop route again, a sound that many fans would resonate with - it was the sound that dominated her music from her first two albums after all. After a shift into the poppier side of the spectrum with her third album The Best Damn Thing, Lavigne has now returned. It's not as acoustic/pop/rock as she'd have you believe.

It seems Lavigne has found the balance between her first two albums and her third album. Most songs do have an acoustic background, but are layered with a pop gloss on it. At least she's not stuck in 2007 like Jessica Mauboy. Anyway, some songs that I'm really liking are Wish You Were Here and Remember When. At least upon first listen. Most songs on the album are anthemic with big, sweeping choruses, with a few exceptions like Everybody Hurts, 4 Real, Darlin' and Goodbye. And the Max Martin productions on this album are easy to handpick as they have the poppiest production.

Goodbye Lullaby as a whole, is solid, but to be honest, it wasn't as great as I thought it was going to be. I was really hoping for a stripped down record, honest and just, amazing. And properly harking back to her older music. Make no mistake, this is still a step in the right direction. But I do admit I did expect a little more..

Big News: Avril Lavigne subtly disses RCA. Again.

RCA/Jive have been getting shittier and shittier lately, and they've put many of their talented artists on the backburner - including one that is Avril Lavigne who's clearly unhappy. The Canadian singer/songwriter sat down with Digital Spy to do an interview, and when questioned about the year-long delay of upcoming album Goodbye Lullaby, Lavigne quipped: "Because my record company were being a typical record company and trying to give me their version of how it should be - trying to get me to go in a different direction. I had to fight with them over and over. I was like, 'No, this is a really special record to me and this is what I'm doing'."

Apparently, RCA wanted Lavigne to hop onto the dance/pop train, but she wasn't willing to back down, stating that "Radio's very rhythmic and urban and dance today. I think they wanted me to do something more like that, but that's not what my vision was for this album. I was signed by L.A. Reid on Arista Records when I was 16. He understood me and believed in me. Arista folded and I got put on RCA or whatever, then there were new people there, and every six months it changes and more new people come in. It's funny when someone new comes in and they've got an opinion too."

"I GOT PUT ON RCA OR WHATEVER." Just thought I might put some emphasis on this soon-to-be-classic line.

No surprises there, Lady Gaga has nabbed the top spot on the Hot 100 with Born This Way, becoming the 1000th song to ever top the chart. Thanks to the amazing talent that is Lea Michele covering Firework on Glee, the Katy Perry original has moved up a spot to #2 while P!nk's F**kin' Perfect falls a spot but gets the Digital Gainer Title standing at #5 this week. The Digital Gainer Title goes to Rihanna, flying up to #8 up from #31 while the Black Eyed Peas see a resurgence for The Time (Dirty Bit) thanks to their performance at the Superbowl. Britney Spears rounds out the Top 10 of the Hot 100 this week at #10. Snapping right behind her heels is Avril Lavigne, whose What The Hell has skyrocketed to a new peak of #11 from #23 last week. Colbie Caillat's new single I Do arrives at the Hot 100 at #23. Glee's covers have crashed the Hot 100 again with Firework, Silly Love Songs, When I Get You Alone, Fat Bottomed Girls and P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing) arriving at #34, #45, #47, #56 and $58 respectively. Interestingly, their covers last week Thriller/Heads Will Roll, Bills, Bills, Bills and Need You Now have flown up to a new peak of #38, #44 and #62 from their debut at #75, #79 and #72 respectively last week. Even more interestingly, She's Not There failed to chart last week but has arrived at #87 this week. Also flying up the charts is Adele with Rolling In The Deep hitting a new peak of #41 so far. Ke$ha's new single Blow is also on the way up to #51 this week. Justin Bieber's Pray has debuted at #91 while Jessie J has fallen to #100 with Price Tag.

NOW37 has hit the top of the Billboard 200 Albums Chart this week, while Mumford & Sons and Justin Bieber have gained some traction pre-Grammys. Expect a big sales boost after the Grammys next week. Adele's also gaining some steam over on the albums chart, with debut album 19 hitting #68 up from #88.

Avril Lavigne - What The Hell live @ Daybreak

Avril Lavigne popped over to the UK to do some handy promotion for What The Hell, performing it on Daybreak and presenting an award at the BRITs Awards. But first, the Daybreak performance. It was quite okay and though she didn't quite nail the end of that performance, it was rather early in the morning.. The interview was better, and it shows Lavigne genuinely is a little tomboy at heart.

Nicki Minaj rises to a new peak of #1 over on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart with debut album Pink Friday. Also rising are Bruno Mars and Rihanna, with Doo-Wops & Hooligans and Loud rising to #4 and #5 respectively. Over on the other end, P!nk's Funhouse re-enters at #194.

Avril Lavigne - Elle interview

Avril Lavigne is still in Japan for promotion and a video has surfaced online of her interview with Elle where Avril sits down. In the interview, she talks about how she wrote half of the album's songs all by herself, and that she produced some of the music. The most personal song on the album to her is Goodbye, the album closer which she describes as very personal and dear to her. I'm really anticipating the sound of this album.

After a rather steep fall downwards last week, Avril Lavigne's What The Hell regains some steam to re-enter the Top 25 at #24 this week. Two ladies with rising singles are Rihanna with S&M and Adele with Rolling In The Deep moving up to #66 and #69 respectively. Ke$ha's latest single Blow re-enters the Hot 100 at #96 this week, making a new peak at the same time.

Going from strength to strength is Christina Perri, who's Jar of Hearts has flown to a new peak of #26. Suffering a huge slip is Avril Lavigne, whose What The Hell has fallen to #31. No worries, Lavigne's music video premiered last week so you can expect it to go up on this week's chart. Adele's Rolling In The Deep is also pushing its way up the charts, hitting #84 this week. Rihanna's latest single S&M has re-entered at #90 this week.

Avril Lavigne - What The Hell live @ Music Station

Avril Lavigne has been in Japan recently to promote her single What The Hell and her upcoming fourth studio album Goodbye Lullaby. The pop/rock stomper has been performing rather well in charts all over the world and she debuted What The Hell in Japan live at Music Station. It was okay. The vocals weren't as great as the one at Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve but she had quite a fair bit more energy.

Avril Lavigne - Promotional Australian Interview

It's been forever since Avril Lavigne has done proper interviews and I'm glad the Goodbye Lullaby promotional campaign has finally started. She's on a promotional tour right now in Japan but a video of an interview in Australia has finally surfaced. An interesting bit of information - Avril's mum had a cameo in the video for What The Hell. Also, Avril says she was really honest in the writing of this album. Which is all the stuff I'm wanting to hear. Even if What The Hell is my #1 most played on iTunes right now..
