Maple Park SAGE Students Excel

Lindi Oyler, 8th grade SAGE Social Studies student, was selected as the local MNEA Martin Luther King Jr. Essay 1st Place winner and advances to state competition.

Rebekah Best, 8th grade SAGE Social Studies student, was selected as a regional winner for the MNEA Law Essay contest and also advances to the next level of competition. She also is a finalist in the Money Smart Community America Essay Contest.

Fifteen 7th and 8th grade SAGE Social Studies students from Maple Park participated in the Missouri History Day competition on March 5 at Truman Library. Lindi Oyler, Desiree Vaughan, Ciara Wiegers and Madison Dodd won, and competed at state competition on April 9 at the University Missouri-Columbia. Jacqueline Wilson is their classroom teacher.
