Nation’s Public Schools Celebrate American Education Week

This week is American Education Week, an annual commemoration now in its 89th year, shining a spotlight on the need for great public schools for all students.

This year’s theme is “Great Public Schools: A Basic Right and Our Responsibility,” and participants are raising awareness that educators, parents, community members, business leaders, elected officials and students all have a part to play in supporting the teaching and learning process.
