A fall wedding suite

Yesterday I professed my love for Kate of Wit+Delight loud and clear. For those of you who don't know, Kate is a very very talented graphic designer. Her work includes branding and packaging and also beautiful wedding stationery. I'm absolutely smitten with this wedding suit created for a fall wedding. The colors are powerful and unexpected and the details pure romance and love.

Smock love

Don't you love it when you find something you didn't know about and it's beautiful and well made? I know I do and that was the feeling with Smock Paper, a paper, letterpress, gorgeous stationary company based in Syracuse. I love their beautiful intricate designs and the gorgeous wrapping paper would make tearing it apart a very difficult task! Plus they are the only ones to print on bamboo paper, truly sustainable!

A calendar and a Dodo review

2011 is not that far and I think it's time to start looking for a calendar and one of these by Lisa Rupp are very possibly my winners!
And talking about time, and calendars, some days I received a Dodo Pad, a whaaaat you say?? a Dodo Pad diary, a family institution in Britain (published since the 1960's!) to scribble dates, appointments and everything else that comes up in my mind. And what do I think? I like it, it's simple, to the point, has some great drawings and stories inside and is more than functional. Plus I have the Acad-Pad which is very handy as it starts back in August.

The new Lonny is out! I haven't had a chance to read it, but I did see some great post around and I'm really LOVING the sneak peek. Cant wait to seat down and read it, have your read it? I hear it's one of the best, or maybe the best?? agree??

The Cherry on the Cake

I'm very very excited about the new paper collection at the  V&A Museum shop. The Cherry on the Cake range is a collection of designer made limited editions of the very best in the shop. This third edition is focused on paper, a much loved product by many of us and the collection is flawless. Among others there is a laser print cut print by the famed Rob Ryan, a screenprint by typographist specialist James Brown that celebrates beauty and usefulness, and an incredibly intricate hand cut print by Chisato Tamabayashi. All in all a stunning celebration of everything print and paper. As usual the V&A never ceases to impress.

Letterheads

I'm completely smitten with Letterheady that I found through the marvelous Rifle blog. It's an incredible piece of history, a collection of old and new letterheads. From the simple ones, the likes of Johny Cash and Charles Chaplin to the more ornate and more to business, Snoopy's creator or young JFK. People don't write letters that much anymore but I'm curious... do you have a letterhead? how is yours?

Bell'invito

I recently received a package from Aspiring Kennedy with the MOST gorgeous card in it. The content was a gorgeous necklace by Beth Dotolo, that you have seen me wearing many many times. Gorgeous, thank you Beth and thank you Lauren. But that's not all, the card had my heart racing for a very long while. I knew it was from Bell'invito (assumed actually) for xyz reasons. So I checked the site and this Dallas fine letterpress stationers, DO NOT disappoint. The detail is incredible, the selection endless (go through the bespoke creation, you will be amazed!) and their envelope liners are beyond any possible description. It's like pure luxe stationary heaven! These are some of their wedding suites, but they have so many more products to check out! Their quality is second to none, really!
