I wonder if they'll have a "complete catalog" package?
Now that would be expensive!!!
I like the idea of The Beatles catalog being available on iTunes, but for me, I'd be most interested in getting CD's of the remastered music so I can rip at my preferred bit rate. :)
Is this all part of Paul's plan to stay solvent through his divorce?

Heh, what Adobe should do, for video purposes, is try and make something that converts the flash file the user views into a video file when viewed by the user on the iphone. I don't know much about flash but I think it could work. As I think there is always a video file somewhere near that flash file.
But then I don't know. This is based off of what little I know.
Flash video uses a .flv file, which is a shell that houses the avi/mpg/mov/etc. But it's rendered away when it's converted to flv, so technically it no longer exists. You can't really extract it...well you can but that would take more processing power than just playing the flash file.

The bookstore at the University Campus I work on just received shipment of 300 MBP 13' 2.23 and are dropping the price $100.00 to $999.00 on top of the academic discount March 17th. I'm not sure if this is a precursor of a New MBP on the 16th, 26th or soon after but my fingers are crossed.

What's your point? That competitors will now also use 8MP sensors? Well, they already have been using them for quite a while. Apple is simply doing a catch up here. By the time iPhone gets 8MP, other phones will have 10MP or more.
more MP's ≠ better photos.

Pointing to a law and saying "this" is why something is allowed is not the same as endorsing either the law or the action that it permits.
Agreed, very true. Glad to see someone else sees the difference between arguing the morality and the legality of a given issue.
Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, John Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, and Bill Clinton are proof that Democrats have long been willing and able to use the military. The unfortunate truth is that both parties have been "parties of war" to this very day.
Yes, the history of both parties during the past 100 years in regards to military intervention needs no introduction. You're quite right that they are both 'parties of war.' War should be avoided wherever possible, and when the congress declares war under a viable threat to the country or our interests, the war should be hard fought, swift, and over.

Like Flash or hate Flash, the fact remains that Flash enabled web site have a major prevalence on the web. I hate the fact that I should have the most technologically available device, but don't just because Apple won't allow Flash - which they could easily allow.
Politics and a pissing contest between Apple and Adobe and I have to suffer. Jobs is just trying to push for his own web app. But there is a jailbreak Flash app. Jobs may not put customers' desires at the top of his list, but DevTeam does.

Can anyone verify which serials are the right ones? The press release and the Apple site differed (before it died). I'm in the press release range, not the Apple range.

Military procurement alone is over $100 billion, O&M is almost $300 billion. Along with troop salaries, these are the bare minimum needed to run. A 25% reduction would be more realistic, which is what Barney Frank suggested. You can do cuts to R&D because half these projects won't even make it past the prototype stage. We don't need to be spending $1.5 billion a year developing a plane to fight submarines, at least not right now. You can also audit and streamline existing expenditures to remove fiscal waste.
Same with other Departments. Go project by project and cut everything that is impractical or currently unnecessary.
In addition, raise taxes. It's funny to me that guys like Rand are acting like OMG we're gonna go broke, we need to be fiscally responsible and cut, when what they're really doing is using the starve the beast strategy. Their goal was never to reduce the deficit. Their goal was to induce a large deficit and then use it to reduce the size of government.

I believe Apple did go with a larger sensor in the iPhone 4.
They kept the same pixel size as from before, but made the sensor larger to increase the number of pixels. It's also uses backlit illumination, per Steve Jobs.

Yeah is yours slow when you are in the 3rd view tith all the albums on the top? The Music seems to be moving fine, but the top with the album art looks like it takes a bit to load. Is this what you are talking about?
At least on my iBook G4 it actually feels faster than 6. But still the looks feels like KDE1.0 or something to me. iTunes went back in time.

Unfortunately, you wouldn't because you'd probably be out of business.
I don't buy that argument. If a customer wants to buy a DVD, they'll just go to Best Buy instead of Walmart, or wherever else it is sold.
Walmart doesn't sell Grand Theft Auto, yet it is still a big seller in the video game market.

Automatic, without user authentication would not make sense. Apple has never issued updates or installed anything without user interaction. That would open the OS up to security risks. So, it wont be automatic.
Over 3G? No thank you. Wireless on WiFi is fine.
Automatic as in do now or do later but must do until a certain time has passed.
Given their firmware signing they must have something like that...

People still shop at Radio Shack for more than just oddball connectors, batteries, etc.?
Thats all I ever get there. Pretty much everything else they sell is overpriced.
Everything there is overpriced. Their cables and connectors are usually 2x what they would cost from a respectable store! Typically when a part costs $12, I'll tell them I'll give them $5. They usually take it bc it's only worth 5

I happen to work for a vendor that supplies Walmart.. I believe this story to be true.. Walmart breaks the antitrust laws everyday.. and get away with it since they bribe and payoff key people in the goverment.(They call it contributions)
I know a vendor(He owned the company) who supplied Walmart with quality vacuums and vacuum accessories.. Walmart decided that they wanted a better price for his vacuums and so they demanded that he cut the price of his vacuums by 30% and that he downgrades the build quality(They had a 10 year guarantee) so they would break down more often thus forcing people to buy more vacuums.
He was in the 4th year of a 10 year contract where it stipulated that HE decided the pricing and everything.. So he refused to lower the price of the vacuums since he would ACTUALLY LOSE MONEY if he sold them at the price Walmart wanted.. Walmart tore up his contract and kicked him out of the store.. when he threatened to sue them for breach of contract they laughed and told him to do it.. it would end up costing him millions to successfully sue Walmart and he would lose money if he attempted that.

In other words, you can only run OS X on a Mac, because all Macs ship with it.No, You can run OS X on non Macs but not legally under the EULA because currently Apple only sells OS X as an OEM with it's hardware or as an upgrade for systems that already come with a Mac OS.
But you can buy OS X 10.4 and install it on any Mac sold in the last 5 years. You don't need 10.1, 10.2 or 10.3 installed in order to install 10.4, and I imagine 10.5 will be the same.So what. You can buy an upgrade package of winXP and install it on any computer well over 5 years old that had win98 installed on it. You didn't need to install WinMe, Win NT, or Win2000.
You are legally only allowed to install the stand alone OS X 10.4 software on systems that originally came with the Mac OS. It's an upgrade.

I am one of the folks who say that. I am not a fan of the band or group. It might mean I don't like what they might stand for, or their individual ideas so I don't buy every thing they do or did. It usually means that I don't like the sound or style of the bulk of their catalog. An example would be not liking a particular genre of music but finding one song I enjoy out of that genre. I don't like country music as a type but I have a few songs in my library that are country tunes. But I might put all that aside and enjoy one or two songs from an artist that I don't particularly like. I have had artists that I liked so much I bought everything they did only to later look back and say wha??? Why did I do that?
You don't have to love the Beatles music. I do, and billions of other people do, but you don't.
But, you do have to recognize that without them, popular music would be an entirely different game right now. People can't remember a time when rock/pop was only ONE type of popular music. The Beatles made it THE type of music, and virtually everything that has come since is a direct result of that change; both musically, and in spirit, in terms of the artistic freedom and experimentation that the Beatles encouraged.
This is not to mention the enormous influence the Beatles had on the recording process itself; the technical advances that went down at Abbey Road in the 60's were mindboggling, and many have become standard studio practice.
So no, you don't have to love the music. But you must grant that without the Beatles, most of the music you DO love would be a whole lot different.

How bout the new Galaxy Tab 10.1? I don't own a tablet yet, and am leaning strongly in that direction. iPad had the market cornered for a while, but now there are real competitively spec'd and competitively priced Android tablets coming to market...
I think you'd better use one of the Galaxy Tab, preferably while right next to an iPad, before you freely recommend the Galaxy Tab as a replacement.
Or maybe read some of the reviews that pit the Galaxy Tab against the iPad and iPad 2.
The Galaxy Tab is not a replacement for the iPad, IMHO.
Just my opinion, of course.
Competitively "spec'd" and competitively priced does not equal an equivalent experience.

What level of military interventions should the US take in the Republic of Congo?
And to look at it in a slightly different way ...
Would it have helped the United States to have some country intervene and determine the outcome in our civil war?
