Joey Wolfe, a junior at Winnetonka, qualified to participate in the Grand National Tournament in Washington, D.C., over Memorial Day weekend. Wolfe will compete in a Lincoln-Douglas debate. He will argue for and against the United States moral obligation to promote just governance in developing nations.
This is the second qualification for Wolfe. He earned a trip to last year's tournament as well. Students are selected on a bid system based on their regular season debate record and achievements. The Grand National Tournament is sponsored by the National Catholic Forensic League, a national organization supporting interscholastic speech and debate in private, parochial and public schools.
