Twenty-one redesigned elementary websites went “live” on Monday, Aug. 30. This completed the triumvirate of elementary, middle and high school websites based on an original design by former student Jake Johnson.
Johnson, who works for Turnkey School, collaborated with owner Mike Kearns, another Oak Park graduate, on the original design when he was still a student about three years ago. The following school year the design was modified for the middle school sites, and this year was further adapted to meet the needs of district elementary schools.
The most recent 21 sites were developed as part of a Web-based content management system that gives elementary principals and their designees the ability to update their pages from any computer, whether at home or at school.
Parents and patrons should find the district K-12 sites easy to use, but feedback is welcomed. Simply contact the school office.
