Theatre in the Park Open Auditions
Gladstone Theatre in the Park will hold auditions for its 23rd season of summer performances, “Annie Get Your Gun” and “South Pacific”, on Saturday, April 17. Auditions are open to anyone, and will be held at Antioch Middle School.

No experience is necessary and no prepared material is needed. Those auditioning will be asked to sing and dance. Dance clothes and dance shoes are recommended. Parents must sign audition terms for participants under 16 years of age. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to audition time. Audition times are:

Ages 10-12 years 1 p.m.
Ages 13-15 years 2 p.m.
Ages 16-19 years 3 p.m.
Ages 20 & Over 4 p.m.

“Annie Get Your Gun” will be presented on July 9-10-11. “South Pacific” will be presented Friday, August 6-7-8. Performances will be held at the Gladstone Amphitheatre, 76th St. and North Troost. Show time is 8:30 p.m. each evening. Admission is free.

Start Smart Baseball
Registration will begin April 19 for the Start Smart Baseball Program sponsored by the City of Gladstone Parks and Recreation Department. This 6-week program is for boys and girls ages 3 to 5 years old and introduces the game of baseball and its skills without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt.

The program will be offered in four different sessions and is limited to 21 children per session.

Session I – Mondays from 6-7 p.m.
Session II – Tuesdays from 6-7 p.m.
Session III – Wednesdays from 6-7 p.m.
Session IV- Thursdays from 6-7 p.m.

Registration Begins: Monday, April 19
Registration Deadline: Friday, May 21, or when sessions are full (whichever comes first)
First Class: Week of June 7
Location: Happy Rock Park located at 76th St. and N. Antioch
Fee: $35
